Casa de los sueños is a traditionally styled spacious and comfortable 3 bed roomed rural villa sleeping up to 6 with a large private pool and pretty gardens in a beautiful and very peaceful location yet only 40 minutes drive from the airport and city of Valencia. The nearest village "Macastre" is a 7 minute drive away and the nearest town of Buñol famous worldwide as the location of La Tomatina is 10 minutes away. There are lots of things to do and see in the surrounding area and I´m frequently told by my guests that this is the ideal location in which to unwind and relax.

THE HOUSE

Casa De Los Sueños “ House of Dreams” is a spacious, clean and comfortable traditionally styled 3 bed roomed rural residence with a large private pool and pretty gardens set on top of a hill with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, valleys, olive groves, and vineyards. Benefitting from an airy open plan living and separate dining room, log burning stove, large veranda which is great for eating al fresco meals shaded from the glare of the sun, huge BBQ and lots of different seating/eating areas flat screen TV, video, DvD, well equipped kitchen, and 3 comfortable bedrooms the house has all you would need for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. To the front of the house is an area for parking and from there you access the pool area down a flight of steps( this is fenced for the safety of young children)
The pool and gardens are in full sun all day long and well into the evening and should you fancy a midnight dip, no problem as there are lights to illuminate the pool.
My guests tell me often that they love the peace and quiet here and the laid back atmosphere, and how easy they find it to unwind and how quickly they start to relax once settled in.
You could say it´s a home- from- home and you are assured of a warm welcome what ever time of year you visit


THE AREA AROUND OUR HOLIDAY VILLA

Casa De Los Sueños is situated in an area of stunningly natural beauty and is very tranquil. The hills and mountains surrounding the villa are always green thanks to the native pine´s and other evergreen foliage .
Wildlife abounds but you have to be sharp eyed to spot it, however the local population of red squirrels, native birds and even Imperial eagles are more easily seen. This is an artists/Nature lovers paradise and if you fancy trying your hand at painting the beautiful landscape surrounding the villa or whatever subject take´s your fancy painting lessons can be arranged with a local artist.
For those into outdoor pursuits there is plenty to choose from including Mountain biking, horse riding, pleasure boat trips, caving and climbing, golfing and fishing all close by, PLUS you can have a massage and or personal fitness training in house, it may also be possible to hire mountain bikes and equipment just ask when you make your booking and the owner will arrange it for you, if this is too energetic for you the pool area is a sun trap so just lay back and work on your tan, taking a dip when needed to cool off.
Should you crave a little excitement there are many places of interest and culture, theme parks and adventure all in the province, and plenty to see and do in the local area with the city of Valencia and all it has to offer less than an hours drive away. I´m frequently told by my guests that this is the perfect place to come home to at the end of a busy day out.
Whatever the time of year you are more or less guaranteed sunshine, and for those who prefer cooler temperatures spring, Autumn and even winter may be just the time for you to visit.

AROUND AND ABOUT

VALENCIA CITY..... Has it all including a formula 1 circuit, ancient and futuristically modern architecture, science, arts, history and culture, a zoo and fantastic sea-life center. Fiestas aplenty including the celebrations for FALLAS A week long event in March ( 12th to 19th) when huge works of art are erected in the streets of the city and burned to the ground on the final night of the festival. Other Fiesta´s include Easter, Three kings- which is Spanish Christmas and held on the 6th of January, and the Moors and Christians celebrations held in the autumn. Even without fiestas Valencia is a truly spectacular city and offers something for everyone what ever the time of
year you visit

MACASTRE..... the nearest village to the villa, typically Spanish and very pretty, plus the locals are wonderful. plenty of places to buy a good and cheap meal,or you could push the boat out and visit la posadica an intimate little restaurant were you are assured of a first class meal.Fiesta´s here are too numerous to mention the main fiestas notably are for Fallas week(march in the City, April here) and August when the pueblo really kicks into the holiday season with lots of live music, fancy dress, paella cooking competitions, festivals de torros,visiting circus, and competitions and fun and games for the kids, fireworks and laughter. It´s true to say , and many of my visitors from the UK will back me up on this, that village life is reminiscent of how England used to be, the villager´s take a pride in their community spirit, traditions and festivals keeping them alive and enjoyed in today´s hustle bustle world, and as is normal in Spanish life it´s any excuse for a party.
The whole area surrounding the village and villa is stunning, and that´s not an exaggeration....it really is, and i can assure anyone that the first full spectrum view of the mountain range you see on leaving the village and heading for the villa WILL take your breath away.


MACASTRE PAINTBALL PARK XTREME......Brand new to the area and lots of fun, dont worry if there are only a few of you interested in taking part it may be possible for you to join other users but dont mention the Armada!!!!! paintballmacastre.com

BUÑOL......Famous throughout the world and on plenty of European backpackers itinerary for LA TOMATINA, it also has more to offer than this one day event. Buñol is the nearest town to the villa, about a 7 minute drive away, and is always hustle bustle with plenty of people out and about getting on with life. Like Macastre there´s a good mix of ancient and modern architecture, and some lovely old winding streets particularly around the area of the castle, which also has a small museum....There are plenty of places to eat and shop, and a lovely atmosphere. Driving up into the mountains from Buñol you will find an amphitheater which sometimes is the venue for open air concerts specially in August.

VALENCIA COAST.....fantastic sandy beaches (some naturist) with lovely cafe lined promenades



Here are a few fiestas, there is something going on every month and the Spanish celebrate in the streets with processions and street party´s.

January... 3 kings, and San Vincete martyr.
March......Fallas, (12th to 19th) a week long celebration culminating in the burning of the huge sculptures which have been displayed all over the city and also many processions and parades of Falleras and Falleros, men and Woman wearing the beautiful traditional costume of Valencia . Also this month there is a wines and produce fair.
April.....Andalucia fair and Semana Santa.
May......Virgin de los desamparados and the festival of nations.
June.... Corpus christi and also night of San Juan
July...Feria de Julio and eclectic festival, also Bennicasim jazz and festival.
August.... Fiestas for the whole of Spain.
October... Valencia day .

If you can not get a direct flight, here are approximate driving times from
other nearby airports...Alicante 3 hours...Murcia, Madrid and Barcelona approx 4 hours. The auto via road network is excellent and driving in Spain a joy compared with some other countries.

The prices per week are for the entire villa and pool and based on 4 people sharing . There will be a surcharge of €15 per person per week for anything over 4 people including children. Peak season exempt unless a discount has been given.This surcharge has been added to cover extra usage costs of electricity, water, gas etc.

Please be aware that the owner of the villa lives on site on a screened off and private piece of land next to the villa with her 2 very friendly and quiet dogs and a cat and there are sometimes neighbors in the house next door,
however my wish is for you to have a fantastic holiday and your privacy and enjoyment of the villa will be respected at all
times, the house and pool are entirely yours for the duration of your holiday,The owner may use the pool from time to time but never when you are either using it or sunbathing round it(pool open from May to end of September) I am there to offer help should you need it and also to service the pool and gardens.
Should you have any special needs please let me know and I will do what I can to accommodate them.

please take out your own insurance as I will not be held responsible for any accident or loss during your stay.

The villa is cleaned thoroughly before you arrive and bedding and towels changed weekly,cleaning on your departure is free.If you wish the villa to be cleaned for you during your stay this can be arranged but of course a charge is made.€30 per clean
Beach towels can be provided at a €1 each per week.

Please note that there are steps leading down to the pool, And that the TRACK leading from the main road to the villa is a RURAL by-way and surfaced only with chippings this being a country villa, however it is only about 200 mts long. I would advise you hire a car which is not too low to the ground.
