Holiday villa for rent in Playa Blanca

At the small beach immediately in front of the villa is a small beach hut that during the day serves hot and cold food and drinks {and reasonably price alcoholic drinks}.
To get to the beach you walk along the pathway that separates the Hotel Calimera from its pool etc , this is found by the large recycling bins. You will also see a playground and a volleyball pitch here and on the other side a tennis court , although owned by the hotel you can still enjoy them.
A further stroll along the sea towards Playa Blanca town centre brings you to very good restaurants on the beach and the Manea bar which is a big favourite of ours.
Our perfect evening out would be us strolling down to the Manea bar for a few drinks amongst the palm trees while sitting on the lovely outdoor furniture gazing out to sea {and of course into eachothers eyes !}. Usually our children have a couple of games of pool and the Natura Beach restaurant next door. After a couple of aperitifs we then go to either one of the restaurants with a choice of Argentine {great steaks} , Italian , Greek , Pizza or Tapas. We then stroll back to the villa to ‘work off’ meal , often jumping in the pool before watching a family DVD in the upstairs living room or looking out at the twinkling lights of Feurteventura.
These relatively new restaurants epitomise the 'classy' image that this part of Playa Blanca is creating for itself.
A ten minute stroll to the right of the villa passed the main entrance to the Hotel Calimera {keep going straight} brings you to a cluster of shops including two mini-markets and some English owned bars/restaurants with staff who understand the needs of Brits abroad who would rather stick to what they are comfortable with. There is also a french patisserie where you must ignore doctors orders and indulge ! At least one of these restaurants provides a take-away service.
In the main part of the resort there are too many bars and restaurants to name here but an evening that starts with a jug of the latest cocktail at the Galeria followed by a couple of drinks and a listen to the resident musician at The Old Mill can be rounded of with a dance at the Jungle Bar.
Near the new Marina is also a shopping precinct that has a bowling alley upstairs ,this also has bar and can provide a good evenings family entertainment at a reasonable price.
The Hotel Rubicon next door is also worth a visit as they happily allow non-guests to come in and enjoy the shows in the evening , these are good fun and worth a visit. This is also a good place to order a cab from and the new bus service stops here.
A cab back to the villa will cost you around 5 euros and take 5mins !
