Fully-equipped, large, separate kitchen, as well as good-sized bathrooms, one en-suite to the master bedroom. The master bedroom has a full size double bed and the second bedroom two single beds.

The main terrace leads from the bright, airy living room and there is, as well, a balcony from the large master bedroom and another from the second bedroom. Both with sea views. Because of the award-winning design of the residence, the apartment is in a quite location and the balconies are very private and not overlooked.

With air-conditioning, ceiling fans and a sofa-bed in the living room.

The residence has a very large pool, surrounded by a large grassed area. Ideal for relaxing in the sun or for children to play. In addition, there is a paddle tennis court for the more active!

The nearest beach, clean and sandy, is a 5 minute walk away on the Mediterranean side – the calm, shallow Mar Menor (ideal and safe for children) with clean sand and beach bar is only a 10 min walk as well. The sea off this beach is also a source of the therapeutic mud for which La Manga is also known. And it’s free, so plaster yourselves!

100m away is a large, well stocked supermarket and there are also a number of bars, restaurants, bakery and pharmacy within short walking distance.

5 minutes away by car, or a 25 min easy walk, is the delightful Marina Tomás Maestre, with a wealth of Spanish and international bars and restaurants, plus a Burger King, 2 more supermarkets and bank with cash-machine. From the marina there is a ferry for passengers and bikes, across the Mar Menor to Santiago de la Ribera, with its excellent beaches and large number of cafés and restaurants. A great way to see the marina from the sea and also enjoy the open sea itself. Something around here for everyone’s tastes and requirements.

Only 100m away from the apartment is a newly opened 5 star hotel, where you can relax in its spa or at the outside bar, or indeed enjoy a special meal in its restaurant.

I was pleased to find the appartment , clean, tidy,and well appointed. The views fantastic, the whole complex clean and inviting. however there was one big disappointment. This was a winter holiday so the envenings were dark and long, a time for watching some British Tv, as you would at home..Satelite was advertised. I expected as an English speaker to be able to tune in to English programmes as one would do in the UK. However only BBC world news was availble.One can get too much news..every half hour the same.....This is a breach of adverising and misleading.Mr Shilling excused himslf saying that he was unaware that Satelite TV...with all normal channels was a pre-requisite for booking....which in our case it was. If we had known that Satelite TV as we know it, was not available we would not have made the booking.

The apartment does have satellite TV and caters for many languages, to suit the wide range of renters I have. It does not have the full range of usual UK channels and if this was a prerequisite for me, as a renter, then I would have checked with the owner before booking. Satellite TV in other countries does not necessarily mean one gets the same as in the UK. I did provide some 20 DVDs to make the TV situation a little better. I regret that the renter was disappointed but am happy that this feeling does not represent the experience of all other renters of this apartment.
