Located in small urbanisation of 12 villas, bordering a pine forest, just outside the medieval village of Calonge - close to beach , leisure facilities & restaurants.
The villa has been the family home for a couple of years & remains like a "home from home", which is fully equiped to a luxury standard with high quality, contemporary furnishings.
It has 3 double bedroom, 2 bathrooms, fenced veranda, mature garden and heated pool. Fully equipped kitchen and open plan lounge/diner.
Only 5 mins drive to local blue flag beach. There are 6 golf courses within easy reach and wide variety of restaurants & leisure activities close by.

- our friendly agents are available when you arrive to ensure a safe & easy arrival and to familiarise you with the villa. In addition, they will assist you throughout your stay with any advice or help you may need.

An additional small truckle bed or cot may be provided for a baby or young child on request.
All bedrooms have ample built in wardrobes, bedside tables & lamps.

BATHROOMS
Family bathroom to first floor, with bath/shower, wash basin, bidet and WC.
Shower room to ground floor with walk-in shower, WC, bidet and wash basin.
We provide hand & bath towels for each person.

KITCHEN
Fully fitted kitchen with granite worktops, electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, Krupps coffee maker, toaster and a full range of kitchen equipment.
Double french doors leading to the large covered, enclosed veranda with outdoor lounge chairs and dining table and chairs for 6.

LIVING / DINING ROOM
large open-plan lounge /dining room, with Sky satellite, 42" plasma HD TV, DVD, video player and a music system with an iPod dock. There are 2 large leather sofas to seat 7 adults and modern light oak furniture and lighting. There ia a large oak dining table, which seats 6.
There is a selection of books, DVDs and board games for adults and children.

Double french doors lead to the garden, plus there are double french doors leading to the large covered, enclosed veranda.

The property has central heating and an open fire for guests during colder months and there are insect screened windows and ceiling fans for hotter months.

GARAGE / UTILITY
The garage houses a new Miele washing machine, iron & ironing board. In addition, there is equipment, toys and outdoor games, for use during your stay, including 2 sets of golf clubs, an adult bike, badminton set, inflatables for use in the pool, skittles, boules.

OUTSIDE
There is a sunny patio and pool area, with 6 teak sun loungers and outdoor shower. The pool is heated apart from July and August, when it is naturally warm. The pool will be checked, cleaned & maintained for you at least twice a week.
At the back of the house is another patio area, which receives the afternoon & evening sun and is perfect for alfresco dining. There is a new gas BBQ & John Lewis teak table & 6 chairs, plus a teak parasol. There are additional wooden fold-up chairs in the garage.

The pool has underwater lighting and there is lighting throughout the garden. The gardens are mature and include large pine trees, lemon trees, palms, olive trees, which provide privacy and shade as required. The garden is fully enclosed and gated and there are additional gates to cordon off the pool if required.

There is ample parking in the quiet street outside.

Notes
ACCESSIBILITY
This is a good size villa, suitable for families or groups of adults. the location is flat, although there are no specific facilities for wheelchair users and the ground floor bedroom is accessed via 3 steps at the rear or several steps leading up to the front of the house.

FACILITIES FOR CHILDREN
The owners lived here with a young child, so the villa has been ideally adapted for young children. There is an enclosed, covered veranda accessed from the house; perfect for young children to play unsupervised.

The pool is accessed via shallow steps and there are inflatable toys for use in the pool. Please ensure that children are supervised around the pool and garden at all times.
As far as equipment is concerned; for babies, there is a cot, highchair, bottles, steriliser. For toddlers, there are plastic plates, bowls and cutlery, a truckle bed, a Lindam playpen, the high chair converts to a table and chairs, there are books, games & toys.

COAST / BEACH
The local blue flag beach at St Antoni de Calonge is 5 mins drive by car and has a beautiful, long promonade to the old fishing port of Palamos; perfect for evening strolls or early morning jogs.

In addition, there are many beautiful unspoilt bays & villages at Agua Blava, LLa Franc, Calella, all within 20 mins drive. Many are linked by well maintained coastal walks.

GOLF
The area is heaven for golfers, with 6 excellent courses within easy reach. PGA Catalunya is about 25 mins drive away and has regularly been ranked as one of the top 10 European venues by "Golf World" magazine. Club de Golf d'Aro as Mas Nou is a short drive away and has truly spectacular views over the mountains, ocean and resort of Platja d'Aro. Other favourite courses are at Emporda, Platja Pals and Serres Pals.

The owner has provided 2 sets of clubs for the use of guests.

Roy, our agent, is a keen golfer and can offer advice re the local courses.

SKIING
Spain has relatively unspoilt ski resorts with challenging runs and large ski areas.
There are 10 ski resorts in the Catalan Pyrenees;
Vallter 2000, Baqueira-Beret, Boi-Taull, La molina, Tavascan, Port-Aine, Espot, Masella, Vall de Nuria, Port del Comte.
La Molina has now been modernised and is only 169 km away.

There are 7 resorts in the Andorran Pyrenees, but access into Andorra can be tortuous.

OTHER ATTRACTIONS
There are plenty of things to do in this area & both Calonge and St Antoni have excellent Tourist Information Offices.
There are several beautiful old medieval towns, eg Girona, Pals, Perelada & Begur.
There are lively bars & nightclubs at Platja d'Aro and Barcelona is only 1 hour away by car.

If wine-tasting is your thing, there are many small local wineries, who welcome passers-by to taste & buy wine. The Cava region is just south of Barcelona and thoroughly recommended - Cordineu has a particularly beautiful location and tasting tour.

Walking or mountain-biking is available around the local mountains, with marked footpaths & cycle paths. Bike hire is available locally and the owner has provided an adult bike for use of guests.
Most water-sports, diving and boat hire are available at St Antoni within 5 mins drive.


TRAVEL AND LOCAL AMENETIES
The nearest airport Girona, is 30 mins drive & serviced by Ryanair. Barcelona airport is 90 mins and the French border is 1 hour.
Calonge is the nearest village, with a weekly market, banks, butchers, bakers, shops and supermarket is c.5 mins drive. There are a wide variety of restaurants and bars within a short drive away.

A car is recommended.

INCLUDED
The rental price includes all gas, electricity & water, provision of bath towels and linen, including weekly change and villa cleaning. Pool towels are also provided.
Hand soap, toilet rolls, washing powder and dishwasher tablets will be provided at the beginning of your stay.

BOOKING NOTES
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required within 5 working days of reservation to secure each booking, with the final balance to be paid 8 weeks before the holiday start date. A breakage/security deposit of €350 is required, to be paid with the final balance - this deposit will be refunded to you, less any breakage costs, within 14 days of the end-date of the holiday.

Payment in Euros via Paypal or Spanish bank transfer is preferred, although UK visitors have the option to pay to a UK bank in £ by prior arrangement.

We strongly recommend that you take out holiday insurance, because we cannot provide any refund once the balance has been paid.

Discount may be given for 2 weeks or longer stays outside of the peak period.

CHANGE-OVER DAY
Change-over day is normally Saturday with a minimum 7 days booking, but we may be flexible on bookings made outside the peak Summer period. Please ensure you arrive at the villa after 4pm on arrival date & depart before 10am on the departure day; this will ensure everyone has a clean & tidy villa to start their holiday.

lovely family holiday home

Lovely holiday home in quiet,peaceful off-road area. House is complete and has everything you could possibly want and need for your stay here. You do need a car to get anywhere, but all the various places are just a drive away. The only comment I have is that I think that one of the bedrooms would have been beter with single beds instead of having 3 doubles.

Perfect villa for a family

This is a lovely villa and is as good as it looks on the website. The heated pool really does make a difference and by late afternoon the pool is shaded which is wonderful when children want to stay there for a long time! There is a great selection of guide books available on the bookshelf and we used both the golfclubs and the badminton racquets. Really this house was perfect for our family and I highly recommend it.

Nice, well equippped villa

This villa is really convenient for staying of famillies with small children. We were happy to swim in pool with warm water. Even for our children water in the pol was not too cold in this early spring, when nights are still really cold. We have all necessary equipment for preparation food at home and it was easy to prepare dinner with using barbeque. The villa is surrounded by the nice villas with good neighbourhood.
