The Accommodation
The apartment built in 2002 and tastefully furnished has two twin bedrooms with fully fitted bathroom and kitchen, utility area with washing machine and water heater and lounge/dining room with satellite TV/DVD player and terrace. The apartment has a side view overlooking the promenade sand dunes and beach and enjoys the morning sunshine (breakfast on the terrace is a must!), but remains cool in the afternoons. It has the use of a shared swimming pool with sun beds and parasols from Easter to end of September , a private parking space accessed by an electronic gate and gardens to the front and rear.

The beach is just a 2 minute walk, the marina is a ten minute stroll away, the golf course a 5 minute drive and Ayamonte a 10 minute drive.

Isla Canela
The apartment is located at Isla Canela, a tranquil and unspoilt island with its meandering rivers and bird life reached by a road bridge from the fishing village of Ayamonte. The island, which is a conservation area boasts an 18 hole golf course, marina with shops, bars and restaurants, large sandy beach with water sports, beach bars and sun beds in the summer season. Across from the marina is the fishing village of Punta del Moral with its bars and restaurants serving "catch of the day" and very popular with the locals.

The climate is pleasant throughout the seasons and whilst the winters are mild and sunny, the summers have an average temperature of about 25ºC. There are on average no more than 30 days of rain annually and over 3,000 hours of sunshine.

Ayamonte
Although referred to as a village, it is a small town by English standards with many tapas bars and restaurants, a marina and a covered market for fresh local seafood, meat and vegetables. It holds a number of festivals throughout the year and in particular at Easter and early September.
