Sleeping up to 4 people with one double and one twin bedroom. Leading from the living area is a spacious balcony with stunning sea views where you can dine al fresco. As well as the sea, you have access to a large shared swimming pool (open April to October) and garden. There is easy access to all amenities, including supermarkets and many excellent restaurants for eating out. A 5 minute walk will take you to the old quarter with its narrow cobbled streets and whitewashed houses.
Nerja is often referred to as the Jewel of the Costa del Sol and voted by Which? magazine as one of the best resorts in Spain. Once a sleepy fishing village, Nerja has retained its Andalucian character. The heart of Nerja is the spectacular Balcon de Europa, a magnificent promenade along the edge of a towering cliff, once the site of a great Moorish castle. From the "Balcon" you can also see the spectacular Alpujarras mountains. Torrecilla, the location of our apartment, is one of Nerja's 7 beaches. It is a beautifully laid out beach with a promenade running along its length, linking El Playazo beach to the town centre and is scattered with many cafes and restaurants along the way. A visit is necessary to the Cuevas de Nerja to see these astonishing underground caverns discovered by 5 boys in 1959. Also necessary is a trip up into the neighbouring hillside village to Frigiliana. Activities available locally include fishing, golf and horseriding.
