Casa Robertos has two bed rooms. One double with en-suit shower room & one twin room with a private bathroom just along the hall.
You will find our villa clean & comfortable with fresh clean cotton sheets & two sets of towels for each person thus allowing for a mid week change. Coloured pool towels are also provided.
We provide a welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar,loaf of bread, butter, marmalade, eggs, bacon, bottle of water, & bottle of wine, to get you started.
We will visit you half way through the week to clean the pool, take away dirty towels & see if everything is to your satisfaction.
You will also have our mobile number in case you need to contact us.
There are plenty of things to do for visitors.
The local picturesque villages of Competa and Frigiliana are favorite starting places for walkers wishing to explore the Parque of the Sierras de Tejida.

The beaches of Torre del Mar,Caleta and Algarrobo Costa are 12 to 14 Km. These wide long beaches are unspoiled by package tourists.
The Chiringuitos (beach cafes) are an ideal place for lunch or a tapas any time of day.

For fun loving Kids the Aquapark in Torre del Mar is open in the school holidays and the Tenpin Bowling alley based in the Ingenio center is a year round attraction.

If you prefer to relax in the sun by the pool perhaps with a Sangria or Tinto de Verano (redwine and lemonade) listening to the birds or the tinkling of the goat bells on the hill-side where the rush hour is when two mules are passing on the track at the same time,then this venue is definitely suitable for you.
(But don't forget the sun filter).

If you like eating out, there are a good selection of restaurants in the local villages, the towns & along the coast.

Notes
There is a clear view of the coast from the terrace. On a very clear day one can see the mountains of Africa,& it's interesting to look through the binoculars & count the ships on the horizon.
Being up in the hills there is very little light pollution & if you like looking at the stars, then the night sky here is just amazing.
Our Villa is not very suitable for wheel chairs.
The house is part way up a hill & the garden is landscaped with lots of steps & little paths going down onto lower levels. This is still in progress, being a labor of love it will probably be continuous.Please be careful going onto the lower levels as we will not be responsible for any accidents. However if there are any elderly members in your party they would manage quite well as long as they remained on the top terraces.
As I've said the villa is in a rural location but not too far out in the sticks as to be too far away from the nightlife along the coast & in the towns.
There is a track to negotiate once you leave the main road but towards the end of last year quite a chunk of it was concreted by Malaga highways & although after heavy rains some of the track can be a bit rough for a while, It is always passable with care.
Velez Malaga & Torre-del-Mar have a number of interesting shops & restuarants. Market day is Thursday.
The Ingenio shopping center has a ten pin bowling alley & a cinema as well as numerous restuarants.
Also you can't miss the aqua park located on the main road beween Velez Malaga & Torre-del-Mar.
But if you want to stay nearer the villa then the surrounding villages are interesting to explore. Whether you drive Walk or go on a hike off the main roads.
Staying around the villa. As I've said we have a pool & terrace where you can relax on the loungers under the rustic parasols.
You will find beach towels provided for pool use & the pool-shower,toilet & changing room is located at the rear of the house close to the pool.

Notes
A reservation fee of 25 percent will be charged to hold your booking, unless there are only four weeks remaining before your holiday is due to commence. In that case the full fee will be required.
Payment is to be made by bank transfer, Stirling or euro's or personal cheque(Euro's only)
Balance can be paid in advance by any of the above methods.
A hundred euros damage deposit will be required at the start of your holiday to cover for any breakages. This will be refunded after everything has been checked & found to be satisfactory,any damage or breakages that are found will be deducted from the hundred euros & you will receive the balance within a few days.
We find most people are very careful & we only had one breakage last year which was a plate.

Lovely Holiday In Arenas

The Villa is in a remote location, which was what we were looking for and therefore the peace was very much appreciated. The road (and I use the term road with caution) getting to the Villa after leaving the main road, was something of a nightmare and left one hire car with a puncture and after a week of travelling we were more and more nervous of going up and down from the Villa. We would recommend the hire of a four by four for this location or a Citroen Berlingo, which all the locals seem to drive up and down the mud roads. The Villa was well stocked with all the usual home comforts, the addition of air conditioning would have assisted during the very hot weather we experienced, especially during the night. However, the lovely large almost infinity pool over looking the valley was most welcome. We would highly recommend and would definately stay there again. The Manager Joe was a great help and very considerate of our privacy.

Good news, Malaga council came along & concreted a large portion of the track earlier this year making the journey up to the villa from the main road much easier & quicker. I wouldn't say that we are too remote, although it is fairly private we do have seven other villas within walking distance from us & it is a five minute drive to Arenas village. I think that the views & tranquility more than compensate for the short drive along the track.
