Views over to the snowy peaks of the Sierra Nevada are visible for much of the year. Whilst sunning yourself in the warmth of this tropical paradise where mangos, avocados and chirimoyas are the main crop cast your eyes back and reflect on the difference of climate.
The Arabic castle is in sharp contrast to the natural beauty in an area where you can meander through very narrow streets or relax in a 400year old converted bakery to take a glass of wine. Visit the museum to see the historical past of Phoenician, Roman and Arabic remains; the three cultures are still celebrated in Salobreña. The views of the Mediterranean are beautiful and from here as is the magnificent sight of the Sierra Nevada.
