Dear Holidaymaker, welcome to your SPANISH PROPERTY AWARD HOLIDAY HOME, located on COSTA ALMERIA, the sunniest and most easy going of THE COSTAS.
Al Andalus Thalassa has its inspiration in the world of the spa, the pleasures of water. You will be able to enjoy the facilies of an exclusive SPA centre with views over the mediterranean. Hence its name, THALASSA, which is greek for sea.
Al Andalus Thalassa is set in an enclosed complex with controlled access. There are 2 large POOLS and childrens pool in the garden. There are TENNIS and PADDLE BALL courts and a BOULE area. In the SPA and FITNESS area there is a heated indoor pool with JACUZZIS,STEAMROOM,HYDROMASSAGE,WATERJET CIRCUIT,and showers.
Your holiday home consists of a TWIN en-suite bedroom, DOUBLE room both with built in wardrobes. A full family bathroom. A fully fitted and equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, oven,hob,grill,Coffee machine,microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The kitchen leads out to the dining-room/lounge which has an eating area, a sofa bed (to accomodate the larger family),and a relaxation area with TV (UK FREESAT), DVD/CD player. Up-to-date DVD/CD collection. This area leads directly to the balcony via a large patio door, which has furniture. The home is fully air conditioned/heated. All baby equipment available for hire for a small fee(fully assembled and ready). Beach towels and picnic bag provided.
No noise or constructions. A covered car park 9-11 steps from the apartment.
Within WALKING DISTANCE there is a supermarket, resturaunt,coffee shops,take-away and pub.
Just outside the complex there is a reliable BUS SERVICE. We have found this an ideal way of seeing the nearby sights:vera town:(5 MINUTES RIDE)-with its museums and archeology. MOJACAR PLAYA/BEACH (10 mins ride away)-a lively and vibrant spot lined with resturaunts, bars and shops; opposite a 7 km sandy blue flag beach with cycle track and walk way. MOJACAR PUEBLO (old village)( also 10 mins ride away)-well worth a visit, this hill top village with its dazzling white houses, and narrow old cobbled winding streets is not to be missed. Other areas to visit: Garrucha (10minutes), Villicarios, Almeria City, Minihollywood, Cabo de Gata-Nijar, Rocquetas De Mar, Sierra Nevada Mountains(skiing for the morning sunbathing for the afternoon). There are many day/half day tours available if this is for you. There are markets daily each town has a different day.
Costa Almeria is well served by ALMERIA AIRPORT (50 minutes drive), MURCIA AIRPORT (80 minutes drive), ALICANTE AIRPORT (2 Hours), MALAGA and GRANADA. Airlines that fly into these airports include Easy Jet, Ryanair, BMI baby, Aer Lingus.
Car hire is available from our on site english speaking contact. Quotations can be obtained, for website please ask. Airport pick ups/drop offs can be arranged through the same web site. Driving on the right may not be for the faint hearted but the motorways are excellent and much quieter than we are used to. Directions and maps provided on booking. The public bus service is very reasonably priced and runs frequently.
Of interest: Everywhere you go you will see the MOJACAR DOLLS or Totem Indalo. They say that when you give someone an indalo figure, you are giving him good luck. Thats why this figure was painted on the front of the houses, to keep bad will away. An ideal souvineer to take home to friends.
Almerias privileged microclimate means that golf can be played here all year round, of which there are many courses close by.
