Description: |
THE VILLA
The villa shares a fully enclosed private plot of 3/4 of an acre with a similar but larger villa used by the owners. Full use of the pool and extensive patio areas, sun loungers, New for 2008 is a separate building housing pool table, table tennis table and various items of gym equipment(see photos) available for your use, also a Boule court all are included shared with the owners. The villa is situated just a four minute drive from the typical Spanish market town of Albox.
CHILDREN
Children are welcome and a high chair, travel cot can be provided if required, please give prior notice if any of these items are required.
NOTES ON THE ACCOMMODATION
The Villa is suitable for young and old, couples or families and consists of 2 bedrooms one with double bed and one with two single beds, lounge, kitchen and shower/wash room. The Villa also has its own private veranda for al fresco dining and soaking up the sun in private. You have full use of the shared utility room which is attached to owners villa. The villa is just a short drive to all the amenities of the Spanish market town of Albox. For the more energetic two mountain bikes (one male & one female) are available to help negotiate those hills.
OUTSIDE
Outside there is a gas fired barbecue, a 10m x 5m pool and extensive patio areas (in excess of 220mtrs) with sun loungers provided. There is also a table tennis table, pool table and running machine and boule court. The gardens and villa are totally enclosed within 6ft high walls to ensure a feeling of privacy during your visit. The majority of the grounds are gravelled with mediterranean plants/trees throughout the area for guests to enjoy. All the above external facilities are shared with the owners and their family.
COAST/BEACH
The beaches of Garrucha/Vera (with its water park) and Mojacár are approximately 30-minute drive away. Both have been awarded the Blue Flag for cleanliness. The beaches are easily accessible and there is normally parking close by. The beaches at San Juan & Villaricos, with its Sunday market, are also close by. A little further away is the Cabo de Gata naturalist park with its stunning beaches and crystal clear waters.
GOLF
There are several golf courses within a 30 minute drive, including two championship courses Valle del Este and the famous Desert Springs. Please contact the course to reserve your teeing time. Details of all local golf courses will be contained in your welcome pack.
TRAVEL The closest airport is Almeria which is a 1hr 15m drive from our Villa. Murcia airport can be reached in 1hr 40m & Alicante 1hr 50m are all easily accessible by the excellent motorway system. During your stay we feel car hire will be essential to fully appreciate what the area has to offer. If you do require advice on car hire or any other aspect of your stay we will be more than happy to assist.
Budget airlines operate from most UK airports. Again if you do require assistance in securing the best flight prices we will be only to pleased to help.
DISTANCES
The town of Albox with its shops, bars & restaurants is a 4 minute drive away from our Villa. Granada (skiing) and the Alhambra Palace are a two hour drive away. Mini Hollywood & the desert is a 1 hour drive and the crystal clear lakes at Baza are just over 1 hour drive. The lakes at Baza have turquoise water and spectacular scenery reminiscent of the Grand Canyon. There are also many local Natural Parks to explore and a 16th century castle in Velez Blanco.
THE TOWN AND LOCAL INFORMATION
The local market town of Albox has all the facilities for day to day living - shops, banks, chemists, supermarkets & many restaurants/bars. Here you can still enjoy a 3-course menu in a typical Spanish restaurant for 9 Euros. English, Chinese, Indian, Italian, French menus are all available locally. All the local towns/villages have regular markets, here in Albox market day is Tuesday. At the markets you can pretty much purchase anything from livestock to hair clips. There is also a small market mainly fresh fruit and vegetables held each Saturday morning. This part of Andulucia is also famous for its fiestas virtually every weekend you will find that one of the local villages is holding a fiesta, here the Spanish and english mingle and relax over a cool beer/wine or Sangria.
HEALTH & iNSURANCE
Their is an excellent 24hr walk in English speaking medical centre to cater for minor ailments and injuries along with several dental clinics in the middle of the town. The main International hospital ( Huercal Overa) is a further 25 minute drive away. For those with pets Albox also has a walk in veterinary surgery.
For peace of mind we would strongly recommend that the hirer of the villa ensures that sufficient holiday insurance is in place to cover injury or illness for the duration of their stay.

Special notes The vila is cleaned prior to each changeover, please take care to leave the villa as you would like to find it, we do know that accidents do happen so please report any damage or breakages: Booking Notes For rental of the Villa we would normally require:-
A holding deposit of £50.00 will be required to secure your booking once recieved this will secure and guarantee your booking and costs.
A further security deposit OF £50.00 will be required a minimum of 6 weeks before you are due to arrive on site, this deposit will be held against breakages and loss.
Full payment will also be required at least 6 weeks before your arrival on site, the holding deposit should be deducted from your final bill.
The security deposit will be returned in cheque form, on your day of departure after satifactory inspection of the villa
