Villa El Cortijuelo is a gorgeous, spacious 3 double bedroom 2.5 bathroom villa, with private pool, outdoor BBQ area in landscaped gardens and villa terrace with breathtaking views across the Rio Grande.
Spend Christmas, New Year, the summer months or the school holidays at our beautiful villa and enjoy the delights of the surrounding Andalucian countryside, the beaches and golf courses of Marbella and the Costa del Sol.
After collecting your hire car (which needs to be arranged independently), you will wind your way to Coin where you will be greeted at a convenient location before being accompanied to your countryside retreat, Villa El Cortijuelo.
LOCATION
The Villa is in a rural location in the Rio Grande area and accessed via a country track one mile off the main road. Despite the privacy of this villa, it is only 15 minutes into Coin, a delightful culture rich Spanish town with a Saturday market, fantastic bars and restaurants and a new shopping mall with cinema. It’s 35 minutes west of Malaga Airport and a 30 minute drive to Marbella. For a day trip, the villa is within commutable distance of:
v Gibraltar (1¼hrs)
v Granada (1¾hrs)
v Seville (3hrs)
v The ski resort of Sierra Nevada (2hrs).
Alhaurin El Grande is only 20 minutes away and like Coin, it’s a bustling market town (on a Thursday) and has good places to eat. Monda is 10 minutes from Coin and on the way to Marbella. Its Moorish Castle is a must see.
ACCOMMODATION
Boasting two indoor lounge areas, a six seat dining room and fully fitted kitchen with fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and a paella stove, if you fancy getting creative, this stunning villa, with its matching location, provides an ideal get away experience.
Enter the delightful garden through either of the two sets of French windows onto foliage-covered terraces leading onto manicured lawns. Take a dip in the swimming pool, relax under the willow tree with a good book or simply lie back in the hammock under the palms. Surrounded by a variety of fruit trees, drink freshly squeezed orange juice* until your heart is content and/or make your own pecan pie with the local nuts!
The villa also boasts a brand new purpose built outside BBQ area with covered terrace and views of the swimming pool and out across the valley. But when outdoor life gets too much or the BBQ’s gone out, relax in the living room with Sky TV (plus DVD player) and an open log fire (for those few, but cold, winter weeks).
Upstairs you will find three very large double bedrooms, an en suite room (bath and separate shower) with an 8ft double bed, built in wardrobes and large terrace, which it shares with one of the twin rooms. There are two twin rooms with a double access bathroom making one of the rooms en suite. The bathrooms are very large, so there’s plenty of room for everyone. There is also a quiet reading area on this floor.
All prices include gas, water and electricity, meet and greet in Coin, one towel and bed change per week.
*Please note oranges and pecan nuts will only be edible on the trees during certain months

OTHER INFORMATION
Villa El Cortijuelo is located one mile off a hillside main road, which itself is off the main road to Ronda out of Coin. It is approximately a 5 minute drive along a country track, so a car is required. A 4x4 is recommended but not essential.
All bed linen and bathroom towels are provided, and changed once a week, but please use your own beach and pool towels. Cots and highchairs are provided upon request and all rooms are large enough for at least one cot.
All maps of the local area, details about fiestas, places of interest to visit, golf courses, places to take the children, beaches, nature reserves and walks etc are in the villa, but we can send them to you upon request prior to your departure to Spain. It’s a beautiful and fabulous part of the world, which I hope you chose to share with us.
If you do require housekeeping services, this can be arranged at an extra cost (20 euros for the first hour and 7 euros for every hour thereafter). Beds and towels will be changed once a week. If you do require a driver during your holiday, either to drive you for a night out on the coast and to bring you home in the early hours, or to accompany you on a day trip, this can be arranged with ease.
Please note that the villa will not be ready for occupancy before 14.00 on the day of your arrival and can you please ensure you are ready to check out by 10.00 on the morning of your departure.
