Pueblo Salado is a modern, attractive complex of apartments and houses located on the Mediterranean coast, on the edge of Puerto de Mazarron, a typically Spanish resort on the Costa Calida (Warm Coast).
It is a private, residential low rise complex, very close to the beach, with three swimming pools, one of which is covered during the winter.
Puerto de Mazarron has many bars, a variety of restaurants and shops, including a supermarket, within easy walking distance of the privately-owned apartment. There are miles of golden, sandy beaches and the town, which has mountains on 3 sides and the Mediterranean on the fourth, has a reputation for having a good all year round climate, with 300 plus sunny days and an average annual temperature of 18C.
Pueblo Salado is ideal for family holidays or couples just wanting to relax in the sunshine.
For those wanting to be more active there are table tennis and petanque facilities on the secure, clean, nicely-landscaped and well-maintained site. There are many other activities nearby, ranging from simply walking to sailing, diving, golf, go-karting, bowling, deep sea fishing and even whale and dolphin-watching trips.
There are many historic and interesting buildings and sites in both Murcia and Cartegena and both cities also have excellent shopping centres, each including a Corte Ingles. There are a number of other areas of interest within easy driving distance, including the Sierra Espuna national park, the Mar Menor and La Manga.
Puerto de Mazarron is a relatively small resort which only gets really busy in July and August. Many Spanish people take their holidays there!
It is within easy reach, mostly on motorways, of three airports: Murcia (San Javier), about 45 minutes; Alicante and Almeria, both about 90 minutes.
Airport transfers are available on request from 100 Euros return. Welcome packs, cot and high chair also available at extra cost. Friendly people who live nearby available to meet you and help with any problems.
The English owner of the apartment also speaks some Spanish.

The spacious apartment is on the ground floor and sleeps up to six people. There is a double bedroom, a twin bedded room and a double sofa bed in the large lounge/dining room. Both bedrooms have large built-in wardrobes.
The apartment is all electric and fully equipped with an oven/grill, four ring hob, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine, satellite tv and a DVD/CD player.
There are wind-down security blinds and the bathroom includes a full-size bath with a shower. There are duvets and three electric heaters for use, if needed, during the winter months.
High chairs and cots available on request for extra charge.
