VERDEMAR III
Situated in Playa Honda just 50m from the beach this brand new apartment offers all the facilities to make a fantastic holiday. The Verdemar III complex includes an indoor heated pool, outdoor pool, childrens pool, sauna, jacuzzi, childrens playground and gymnasium. All this set beneath palm trees and landscaped garden beds, with lifts to the apartments, secure video-linked entrance, and secure underground parking. The apartment is on the 5th floor and has sea-views.
ACCOMMODATION
The accommodation is equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday. The apartment is tastefully furnished and comprises 2 bedrooms, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, large terrace, lounge/diner, TV / DVD / Playstation, utility area and shared roof terrace.
TV includes UK channels (BBC, ITV, Ch4, Ch5, Sky Movies, Sky Sports, Childrens cartoon channel, Music channel etc)
All towels and bed linen are provided within the price and should you require cots, highchairs or rollaway beds, these are available for hire from our English contact who will also be available 24 hours a day in case of any emergency.
PLAYA HONDA
This resort is ideal for families, sunbathers, golfers, water sports enthusiasts, those that enjoy time at the Casino etc.
The sandy beach is just 50m from the apartment which lies on the shores of the Mar Menor. There are childrens play areas on the beach, a volleyball area, and a beach bar which serves food and has a pool table, table football etc. A promenade runs the length of the beach for those wishing to take a gentle stroll.
In Playa Honda, a short walk from the apartment, are a number of bars and restaurants, a well-equipped supermarket, a pharmacy and a childrens park.
Sunbathing by the Mar Menor is more peaceful than by the Mediterranean as the waters are more still and quiet. Many sunbathers relax with their sun-chairs in the edge of the water. The waters are also shallower for swimming, and are warmer than the sea.
The Mar Menor itself is very popular for all kinds of water sports. The nearest water sports complex is just 200 metres along the beach offering a host of activities including water-skiing, jet skiing, wind surfing, sailing and pedaloes - all this adjacent to a fantastic restaurant and bar on the beach for those that just want to watch the activities, or watch the sun go down over the Mar Menor whilst having a meal or evening drink.
Just 7 minutes drive away is the famous La Manga Country Club which includes 3 golf courses, 17 tennis courts, bowling club, many bars and restaurants, and a Casino.
Also popular in the area is cycling along the shores of the Mar Menor - cycles can be hired locally.
Available nearby are quad bikes, diving, fishing, horse riding, tennis and go-karting to name but a few.
LA MANGA STRIP / CABO DE PALOS
Just 2 miles from Playa Honda lie the La Manga Strip and Cabo de Palos.
La Manga Strip is a busy holiday resort with a large amount of bars, restaurants and activities for holidaymakers. La Manga strip also has a very long and wide sandy beach for those wanting a day by the mediterranean as a change from the more peaceful shores of the Mar Menor.
Cabo de Palos is a beautiful harbour, again with a number of bars and restaurants and activities. This is a particularly nice place to have your evening meal and watch the sun go down over the Mediterranean.
There are many other beach resorts to explore within short driving distance including Los Alcazares, Los Nietos, Mar de Cristal etc.
Further afield but within driving distance are the historic towns of Cartagena, Murcia and Torrevieja with a safari park, water parks and many other activities. Even further afield Benidorm is under 2 hours drive away.
WEATHER / THE REGION
Playa Honda is situated in the region of Murcia. This area of Spain has the lowest rainfall of all of Spain. It averages 320 days of sunshine per year, thus making it a good choice for both winter and summer holidays. This area is in the Costa Calida which translated means warm coast.
The area around the Mar Menor is relatively flat making it a good area for walking, cycling and horse riding. There are also miles and miles of beaches so whether you want a relaxing break or an active holiday - you can do it all here.
Getting Here
Playa Honda is situated approximately 20 minutes from Murcia Airport and 1 hour from Alicante Airport. Both airports are well served with low cost flights from regional UK airports.

Special notes
HOW TO BOOK
Booking in days are flexible - there are many cheap airlines which offer competitive mid week prices, therefore we can accommodate mid week change-overs. Prices are per week which also include your end of stay clean unless you are staying for less that one week. Prices for less than one week are priced pro rata.
To confirm the booking a deposit of 100€ is required for each week. The remaining balance is required to be paid 6 weeks before arrival.
Important – clients must leave a security deposit of approximately 250€ in the form of a credit card imprint, which will only be presented in the event of loss or damage to the villa/furnishings.
