The Area, the Residents, the Cuisine
Monte Y Mar Urbanisation, Gran Alacant is literally a 10 minute drive from Alicante Airport, although offering superb transportation access the area is tranquil and as it is not on the flight path there is no aircraft noise, the accommodation is uniquely located overlooking a peaceful pine ravine with the unspoilt beaches a 3 minutes drive
The area has an underpinning Spanish feel to it although is extremely cosmopolitan in terms of both residents and cuisine
There is a terrific mix of both fulltime residents and holidaymakers; nationalities tend to be British, Irish, Scandinavian German and Spanish
First class international cuisine is within walking distance, varied offerings such as Chinese, Italian, Spanish, Mexican, Indian and a top drawer Argentinean steak house, Jazz & Piano Bar, Live Music Bar with pool darts etc.
For those armchair or indeed pub stool sports enthusiasts there are many local pubs/bars offering sky sports satellite TV
Local amenities include post office, news agents, medical clinic, dentist, banks, numerous supermarkets, just recently opened is a magnificent Commercial Centre that offers shops, restaurants, children’s soft play area, street café culture, irresistible ice cream parlours and bars with live entertainment. Every Thursday Gran Alacant has its own Spanish market.
Things to Do, Places To See The local golden beach (Carrabassi) is an unspoilt blue flag sandy beach with sand dunes and pine shaded areas with picnic tables, adjacent to the beach there is also a tranquil nature reserve (El Clot). For the more energetic there is plenty of activities such as, diving, windsurfing, fishing, paragliding, sailing, and surfing
The area also offers great opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking, mountaineering, tennis and not to mention the world class golf resorts all within 15/20 minutes from the accommodation, to mention a few I have played myself Alenda Golf, Campoamor, Bonalba Golf, the championship course La Finca and for those fanatics the world famous La Manga is easily within reach on the fantastic road network system. (One set of brand new golf clubs available for client use)
Santa Pola, 5 minutes south of Gran Alacant is a traditional Spanish fishing village, which offers beautiful local cuisine and shops, every Monday and Saturday hosts a wonderful fresh produce market
Alicante City is 15 minutes to the north offers everything one would expect from a modern city, shopping malls and hypermarkets, the modern marina is home to many exquisite restaurants, street market traders, all overlooked by the magnificent floodlit hilltop castle
Benidorm is a 40-minute drive on the motorway north of the accommodation, with lots of attractions for families.
Terra Mitica – Theme park and entertainment Terra Natura – Zoo and Water Park Acqualandia – Water Park Mundamar – Sealife (dolphins and sea lions)
How to get about in Costa Blanca –Gran Alacant As much as our accommodation has plentiful amenities within the local area, to enjoy maximum benefit of your holiday we would recommend hiring a car
Car hire for as little as 14 euros a days gives you both flexibility and independence; it provides a platform to explore the traditional Spanish inlands and the wonderful coastal region
Local Buses are very cheap and frequent and offer services to local beaches, coastal resorts and cities
Regional /National networks Alicante provides a starting destination for both the national bus and rail networks, for those wishing to experience trips to places like Barcelona, Valencia or Madrid

A wide selection of books has been left for your enjoyment and relaxation.
Kitchen Fully fitted kitchen comprising of Fridge/ Freezer .Oven/Hob/Grill, washing machine, toaster, kettle, all required kitchen accessories, picnic basket and cool bag for day trips.
Utility Room Off kitchen provides iron /ironing board storage facilitity for beach equipment i.e. body boards, sun loungers etc
Shower Room Ground floor Fully tiled, consists of WC, washhand basin, plug point for shaver.

Flexible non-refundable deposit arrangements on offer at time of booking, we aim to offer the client a quality cost effective holiday solution
8 weeks prior to client arrival all outstanding balances must be paid in full
To ensure that the accommodation is kept to an extremely high standard and our clients treat the property and its contents with care, a fully refundable damage/loss deposit of £100 is required. This will be refunded immediately after property inspection.
On receipt of keys from the key holder the client is required to pay the key holder 40 euros. This is a domestic charge which covers cleaning and laundry services which is conducted at the end of the holiday
