San Juan is only 3minutes in car,or a leisurely stroll along the coast ,stopping near to San Juan at a Chiringito for refreshment.Nearby just minutes away is the New Aguilon golf course making the apartment ideally situated for both families and golfers .Also, the well known Desert Springs Golf complex open to all, is about 20 minutes away,and with excellent facilities,restaurant pool, Childrens adventure area.There are 3 other golf courses in the vicinity.At 10 kilometres is the charming Spanish town of Aguilas with its elegant squares to sit while away some time people watching and have a drink,attractive harbour ,marina, and fishing port.On Saturday there is a large open air market and lovely cafes on the beach.20 mins away is Garrucha, another fishing port, famous for shellfish, a bustling little town with harborside restaurants and bars, further on is Mojacar,an old Moorish pueblo, with winding streets,shops and bars. The airports of Almeria,Murcia,& Alicante are all served by low cost airlines with Almeria being the nearest, making Pozo del Esparto ideally situated to explore both the costa Almeria and Costa Calida. |
