The various beaches around each have their own unique feature. The beach at El Toyo is popular for swimming, water-sailing and fishing at night. The crystal-clear waters of the Cabo de Gata Natural Park make it popular choice for skin-diving. The landscapes are mountainous, arid and volcanic and form the backdrop to the region.
