LA MANGA DEL MAR MENOR
La Manga, part of the Costa Calida (warm coast), is well known for having one of the most moderate climates across the whole of Spain mainland of Spain. The stretch of land that separates the Mar Menor from the Mediterranean, called La Manga (the sleeve), is 22 kilometres long and between 200 metres to 1.5 kilometres in width. The Mar Menor is popular for water sports and boating, with the main marina being the Tomas Maestre Marina located around 18 kilometres down the La Manga strip. The sunset over the Mar Menor, is known for one of the most picturesque sunsets across the whole of Europe.
The area has long been a favourite with the Spanish who come here for a relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle of every day life and is surrounded by beautiful beaches with shallow waters and, along with the absence of tides, is safe for children to play in. It is a fact that the Mar Menor is around 5 degrees warmer than the Mediterranean Sea and also has health giving benefits, as it has a high saline content which is therapeutic for sufferers of arthritis, rheumatism and skin conditions when they coat themselves in the black mud which can be found at points along the shores.
La Manga is situated in an area that enjoys one of the most moderate climates in Europe, with on average 320 days of sun per year.
APARTMENT
The accommodation itself is a newly built, modern, 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom, 1st floor apartment and due to its prime location at the front of the building the large main balcony, which leads off the master bedroom and the main living room, commands fantastic views over the Mediterranean.The balcony is overlooking a stunning view of the Mediterranean Sea, a view which can never be obstructed, which is literally a stones throw away from the apartment. Between the Sea and the apartments is a beautiful swimming pool, along with a shallow pool for young children. The pool is situated in a communal garden which also has a decked area for sun lounging. The apartment also has its own car parking space with a remote controlled barrier which guarantees safe and secure parking. Another feature of the property is a video entry phone, which shows that the security in the complex is excellent and no-one can gain entry without being personally recognised first.
The surrounding area of the apartment complex has all the necessary local amenities such as a supermarket, various café’s and restaurants, and also a small convenience store. The Tomas Maestre Marina is a 15 minute walk away and although this is essentially still very Spanish, it is very cosmopolitan with an extensive range of bars and restaurants including Spanish, Greek, Chinese, German, Italian, Indian and Mexican.
To the rear of the apartments there is the canal entrance leading to the Tomas Maestre Marina which is popular for fishing, as is the Mediterranean itself.
GOLF
The famous La Manga Club is only 20 minutes drive away, and has 3 championship courses which offer an excellent golfing experience. Just 5 minutes drive away there is an 9 hole par 3 course and driving range.
There are several other courses within easy reach, Roda Golf, La Serenagolf, Mar Menor Golf, Hacienda del Alamo, Altorreal, Mosa Trajectum, Campomar, Villa Martin, Las Ramblas and La Finca.
