Description: |
Menorca is the gem of the Balearics and this self catering, privately owned, rental villa is air conditioned and set in a quarter acre grounds.
The villa is situated in Son Vilar, a quiet residential village on the outskirts of the popular Mahon (Mao) and Es Castell, and is close to amenities, superb restaurants and bars, and a short drive to gorgeous beaches. An ideal base for families or couples seeking a villa holiday on this lovely Island.
It is fully equipped and all linen (except beach towels) is supplied and laundered weekly.
The villa consists of three double bedrooms (one en-suite), Lounge / Dining Room, Kitchen, Bathroom, Patio, Private Swimming Pool, Large Terrace and Barbeque. With a studio couch in the lounge the villa could sleep 8, but should be considered as sleeping 2 - 7.
The villa is tastefully furnished throughout and the kitchen is fully equipped with a large fridge (stocked with basic food and drinks for your arrival - including wine!).
The magical Mediterranean Island of Menorca (Minorca) has over 120 beaches, some of them being the most beautiful in Europe. Most are unspoiled and they are to be found in every nook and cranny of the coastline of an island only 30 miles by 12. Some are long stretches of fine sand; others are sheltered bays or coves. The sea is of the clearest blue with an unmatchable clarity and with the most agreeable of temperatures which make it a paradise for water sports enthusiasts, or for those just lounging and chilling out.
During the year there is an average of 300 days of sunshine with an average of 5 hours a day in winter and more than 10 hours a day in summer.
For those interested in history and culture there is much to see and do, while for lovers of good food and wine there are some excellent local restaurants offering very reasonably priced meals and the waterside cave bars in Es Castell (5 mins drive) enable you to soak up the atmosphere. For those on a budget I provide a guide for my tenants of local restaurants to eat (3 courses) for less than a fiver (including wine)!
Menorca is the quietest of the Balearics but it has a unique character that makes you want to come back time and time again. This Menorca holiday villa is in a good position from which to explore this lovely island.
Many past tenants are regular visitors (60%!)-which speaks for itself.

The villa is tastefully furnished throughout and the kitchen is fully equipped with a large fridge (stocked with basic food and drinks for your arrival!), cooker,microwave, washing machine, utensils, crockery and glasses, as well as all linen except beach towels.
The 3 bedrooms are air conditioned, both COOLING or HEATING.
There is also a Playstation, CD & Cassette Player, short wave radio, and a VHS/TV Combo. No satellite TV!
The villa is thoroughly cleaned before your arrival and on your subsequent departure. Fresh linen and a villa clean is supplied weekly, and the pool is regularly cleaned during your stay. If there are any villa or pool problems a quick phone to my local manager will resolve it.
