Nestled in a sheltered spot in the mountains of rural Spain, less than an hour from the international airport of Malaga and the Costa del Sol, lies Finca Fantastica. This unbelievable location, so close to the busy resorts of the Costa del Sol, feels like youve dropped into another world, where time is infinite. A perfect spot for Naturists, Mountain Biking, Walking, Bird Watching (Spanish Eagles nesting nearby) - a place to enjoy all the countyside has to offer. Mountain Biking Surrounded by excellent tracks going in all directions: from the highest view points down to the dry (well, most of the time!) riverbeds snaking along the valleys, the mountain biking here is simply unsurpassed. With your only limits being the rare, fenced property - and perhaps your own stamina - you can safely explore the maze of tracks leading in all directions. You may meet a car on the tracks sometime during the day - but you could go the whole holiday without seeing another vehicle. Please inform us in advance whether you wish to hire bikes here or will be bringing your own. Many airlines carry "bikes in bags" at small surcharges - just make sure theyll fit in your hire car! Climbing Not far from Finca Fantastica is the climbing mecca of El Chorro. About 20-30 minutes to Alora and then another 20 minutes takes you to this splendid Natural Park. Particularly popular in the cooler months, the climbing fraternity has adopted El Chorro as the place to climb - from beginners to experienced climbers, there is something for all. Hardly any shops in El Chorro ... but there is a climbing one! Sells maps and climbing gear. A little closer is the still mostly undiscovered area of Abdalajis which offers great climbing as well. And if that isnt enough, about an hour away is El Torcal with its famous rock formations .... Riding Riding available in the local area for beginners and experienced riders. We have a delightful stables in the area that we recommend.
Travel Finca Fantastica is situated approximately 12kms above the village of Éstacion de Cartama in the province of Malaga and just 50 minutes from the international airport of Malaga. A hire car is essential to explore the area, although we can generally arrange airport pickups and excursions if required.
Distances Gibraltar, Seville and Granada are approximately 2 hours drive away. Closer to home are the lakes of El Chorro and the sugar cube village of Frigiliana and the historical town of Antequera.
Further details The local village has shops, banks, supermarkets, restaurants and bars and a busy Sunday market. A lively place in the evening where you can sit outside at a table and watch the world go by. Many of the restaurants have barbecued food available particularly at the weekends

Special notes During the summer there is a minimum stay of 1 week, during the winter the minimum is 3 nights. Stays of less than 3 nights will be charged at 3 nights. Notes on prices: Prices are for the property per week and per night in Euros / UK Pounds. Changeover day: Changeover days are flexible. Arrival and Departure Times: We request that guests depart by 10am and dont arrive before 4pm unless by prior notification. Cleaning: If you dont wish to clean before leaving (an early flight perhaps!) a charge of 30 euros will be levied. Payment: When booking, a non-returnable deposit of 25% is required, with the balance due 6 weeks before the start of your holiday. This can be paid either by bank transfer or via PayPal (using your credit card if you wish.)
