Description: |
The exceptional apartment is situated on the first floor, of an 18th. century palace, facing south-west. The building is inside the ancient town walls, just a stones-throw from the cathedral and all main attractions including the flamenco museum which is just up the street. The cultural center "Sala Companía" is across the road, housed in a beautifully restored church.
Very central yet peaceful, away from main roads, in the heart of the pedestrian part of the old city.
One enters the building through a beautiful colonaded courtyard and broad marble stairs lead to the apartment.
The entrance hall with the large wardrobe is open plan, with the corridor leading to the kitchen, and a door to the main bathroom with all fixtures and fittings designed by Philppe Starck for Duravit; WC, large double bath, sink and heated towel rail.
The galley kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine/dryer, ceramic hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, toaster, china, glasses and cutlery for eight people. There are plenty of saucepans, cooking gear and all the rest that make a house a home.
The open plan dining room has a library, a day bed and seating for 6. The large high ceiling living room with 2 large sofas and puff to relax, large flat screen TV with DVD player and DVDs, I-pod docking station, and plenty of information about the area.
The downstairs bedroom has a large wardrobe and a double bed. We also have a work desk and printer with Wfi access available 24hrs.
The upstairs bedroom with en-suite has a king size double bed which can be converted to two singles when required.
The en suite-bathroom is fitted with sink, Hydro-shower, suspended WC and a heated towel rail. The views to the cathedral are especially magical at night when the building is lit.
Due to the south-west facing aspect of the apartment the light is fantastic, with the sunsets giving a different colour display each evening.
The apartment is supplied with A/C hot and cold.
There is a large communal roof terrace.
Included is the private parking space in the underground garage next door.
Please note that we have a non-smoking policy.
A good base for golfers, making use of the several excellent golfcourses in the area.
A weeks spent visiting bodegas, the Cartujan horses, the costa de la Luz beaches and the many stunning white villages, or city trips to Cadiz and Seville. Or just relaxing, going to the Hamman, spending time in the lovely squares of Jerez were youll still find the quintissential Spansih way of life, with the fantastic market as a focal point.

I have a comparison as friends stayed in a similar space in a palacio in Seville and the conversion did not work as well - the mezzanine and stairs appeared heavy - the space below seemed restricted whereas your mezzanine seems to float and the dining space below works really well - especially with the light source from above - very impressive design. We loved nothing more than waking after a obligatory siesta and simply wandering the back streets. That and “people watching" at the numerous tapas bars. Jerez is such a special place!

Bookings/deposit: Rates for long weekends on request. If you decide that you would like to make a reservation for your holiday, please give us a call or send an e-mail . We will keep the reservation open for 3 days, enough time for you to make your travel arrangements and send us the deposit, which is 30% of the total. We will then send you a receipt for your deposit. The rest can be paid 8 weeks prior to your departure, in return of a detailed map and the key arrangements. |
