In Southern Spains magnificent Andalucia - the home of Flamenco and the traditional, white-washed, mountain-side villages - Finca Ladera (Hillside House) nestles within its own 1.5 acres of glorious gardens and terraces, offering tranquility and privacy, just thirty minutes drive away from the airport at Malaga, and the famous, Mediterranean resorts and beaches of the Costa del Sol.
3 bedrooms (sleeping 7, plus cot if needed) + 3 bath/shower-rooms, and the 15 metre swimming pool - fully filtered (and heated, if required) - makes this privately owned and run Finca, an unbeatable holiday choice for families.
LOCATION:
Finca Ladera is located in the countryside area of olive and orange groves, surrounded by stunning, mountain views, just a few minutes drive from the charming and historical towns of Coin (5km) to one side, and Alhaurin el Grande (6km) to the other. You are spoilt for choice, with the multitude and variety of restaurants, tapas bars, shops and regular markets, as well as the nightlife and frequent fiestas. In addition - of course! - are the many famous golf courses, in this area, and so much else to see and do if you can drag yourself away from the pool and terraces!
ACCOMMODATION:
Bedroom 1 (upstairs) contains an Emperor sized double bed (6ft. x 6.5ft.) plus cot if required, a range of fitted wardrobes and ample storage. The ensuite has a large, walk-in shower, toilet and basin.
Bedroom 2 (upstairs) is a family room, with a double bed and a set of bunk beds. This room has a large, walk-in cupboard, with plenty of shelves and hanging space. The ensuite contains a bath (with shower over) toilet and basin.
Bedroom 3 (groundfloor) is a single room, with ample hanging and storage space. This room has the convenience of a groundfloor shower-room, with toilet and basin. All bath/shower rooms are fully tiled, and each bedroom is equipped with a hairdryer.
The open-plan groundfloor consists of:
Lounge Area with satellite TV, DVD & video-players, and a B&O hi-fi system.
Dining Area / Kitchen, fully-fitted with granite worktops, and equipped with everything a family could require. For tiny tots, a highchair is available, if needed, with no extra charge being made for this or for the cot.
Outside: Two sets of double French doors lead out on to the spacious, covered terrace, with its dining area and gas-fired barbeque. This is the place to relax with your drink, or over a meal, whilst enjoying the splendour of your surroundings. As the day draws to a close, you can relish the heady perfume of jasmine, wafting in the gentle, evening breeze. Or you may wish to take your coffee to the African gazebo, at the far end of the pool, accompanied by the scent of lavender as you descend to the lower terrace. The floodlit pool looks so tempting - maybe, youll be seduced into taking a midnight swim!
LOCAL AMENITIES:
Guests will find a comprehensive Information Pack, for their use, which contains details of restaurants, shops, local markets, cinemas, walking, golf, horse-riding, mountain-biking, tennis, scuba-diving, nightlife, fiestas, and many places of interest - both for adults and for children - within the local area and further afield. There is a restaurant within walking distance (1km) which serves Spanish and English dishes at very reasonable prices. The new, beautifully designed shopping centre, La Trocha, less than 5km away, offers a further choice of restaurants, coffee & tapas bars, a terrace-bar-nightclub, supermarket, department store, and a 7-studio cinema complex, in addition to the variety of shops.
Swimming Pool Heating for the swimming pool is rarely necessary from early May through to early September. If you wish the pool to be heated, please contact us, giving at least a weeks notice. A charge of 75 Euros per week (or any part of a week) will be payable on your arrival for this optional facility.

AIR-CONDITIONING has been installed throughout the house, for the summer months, and full gas-fired CENTRAL-HEATING, for the winter. NO extra charge is made for these....they are included within the rental costs shown below.
There is exterior lighting around the entire property, including the pool area and within the pool itself. The pool depth is 1.5, graduating to 1.6 metres, with the shallower end being the nearer to the house. There is an outside shower, for use after swimming.
The gardens are surrounded by unobtrusive fencing, with a walled and gated entrance, leading to the spacious, gravelled front, with its private parking area.
An optional welcome pack can be provided, for which a charge is made, according to the number of guests, with a minimum charge of 45 euros, for two adults. A further 15 euros will be charged for each additional guest, and you are welcome to contact the owners with any specific requirements. The standard pack includes:- Milk, butter, cheese, eggs, ham, bacon, tomatoes, bread, tea, coffee, sugar, cereal, bottled water, fruit juice, a bottle of red & a bottle of white wine. In addition, the kitchen and bathrooms will be equipped with all everyday essentials. Please inform us, when booking, if you wish the welcome pack to be provided on arrival.

The cost of your visit is calculated per night of your stay based on the price bands shown above. Your booking can span more than one price band. Please note that the weeks of Easter, Christmas and New Year, have set arrival dates - please contact us for details.
Flexible Arrivals/Departures - Whereas almost all other holiday rentals insist on a set arrival / departure day, in 7-night blocks, we offer flexibility. Whilst we do have set arrival dates for the weeks of Easter, Christmas & New Year - with a 7-night minimum booking period for these 3 weeks, and from Easter through to the end of September - we can accept a minimum booking of 4 nights, at all other times.
Check-in is from 4.00pm on day of arrival, and guests are requested to vacate the property by 10.00am on day of departure. In non-busy periods, the owners will do their best to be flexible, if a request is made for an earlier check-in / later departure time. The owners live on site, in separate accommodation, totally detached from the main house, and will be waiting to welcome you, show you around, and to hand over the keys. They are happy to provide evening baby-sitting, should parents want to enjoy an evening out on their own. They do everything possible to ensure that your stay lacks nothing in comfort and enjoyment.
PAYMENT: 25% Deposit with booking + Balance 8 weeks prior to Arrival Date. If Booking is made within 8 weeks of arrival, payment must be made in full.
