Description: |
Los Nietos is a small quiet village situated at Costa Calida South of Spain. We are in a small friendly private complex with your own under cover parking space. In the centre of the complex it has a garden, large pool/toddler pool, showers and toilet. The pool is open from 8am - 1am all year, it has spot lights inside the pool at night and looks really nice. It also has a large solarium where you can also relax and sunbath.
The apartment is an open planned kitchen/livingroom. Fully fitted kitchen with all utensils, dining table/chairs, fridge/freezer, oven, hob, microwave,washing machine, deep fat fryer, kettle, toaster, hoover, iron ond ironing board.
Bathroom with bath/shower, bidget, wash basin, large wall mounted mirror and hair dryer.
The livingroom has Spanish TV/English TV, some sky channels, DVD & Stereo and a large mirror. It leads onto the spacious balcony equipped with table/chairs umberella, 4 sunloungers and 1 beach chair.
Both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes & the master bedroom also leads onto the balcony. There is a sofa bed which sleeps two.
All bedding and towels are provided, plus quilts for winter. It has ceiling fans in all the rooms, hot/cold air conditioning and a heater if needed for the winter months.
There are two airports which you can fly too. Alicante is 75mins away or San Javier Murcia only 20mins away. You can either get a taxi or hire a car from the airport, or our agent can pick you up at a lower fee.
The village caters for all your needs it has banks, pharmacy, medical centre, shops, bars and resturants.
The Mar Manor boasts 270km of sandy beaches, with 18km of Mar Manor beach line along the strip. There are a numberous beach bars and cafes along the beach and the sea is very shallow, reaching a maximum depth of 6m. This makes the waters extremely warm and the salt concentretion is high so you may find, in places, that you can float quite easily. It is only a 2min walk to the Lovely Mar Manor Beach from our apartment, and its high mineral content makes it beneficial in treatment of arthritis and other associated ailments you may see people having covered parts of there bodies with the black mud, it helps with there psoriasis and other ailments.
The beach also has swings and slides for the children, and the sea is warm and shallow ideal for children. Los Nietos has its own Marina called Club Nautica with bars and resturants, it also does boat trips. If you dont want to venture out in a car you can hire bikes and stay local. Los Nietos has a Sunday Market situated near our own train staition.
La Paloma bar is newly opened and run by Mark and Brett, this bar has tapas and British draught beer and has 2 full size snooker tables and pool table and an excellent ambience. And also it holds Karioke nights.

The Famous La Manga Club. Is 5-10 minutes away with 3 Champion Golf Courses, bowls and tennis also a spa. The whole area is a haven for sport, water sports and golfers.
La Manga
La Manga is a narrow strip of land between two seas,the Mediteranium and the Mar Manor. Taking into account its two shores, La Manga has 36km of magnificent beaches in its 18km length.
La Manga is a unique spot from where two different seas can be enjoyed at the same time. The Mar Manor is a 200km coastal lagoon, with crystal clear water and a high content of minerals and is rich in flora and fauna. Because of its calmness and mild winds, it is an excellent place for water sports.
Cartagena
The Cartagena experience at La Patacha, a floating restaurant run by Mike and Sharon, perfect hosts and superb food. Start the day here for information guid maps and vouchers for an all you can eat meal before exploring Cartagena. This lively harbour city with a history dating back to before the Romans has many incredible processions and fiestas including the annual Roman and Cartaginian festival in September and the Easter precession. The city has many fabulous cafes, harbourside restaurants and is a great place for shopping. There is also a train between Cartagena and Los Nietos which is totally reliable and extremely cheap only a couple of euros. Tourist information: 968506483.
Carthaginians and Romans
16th - 25th September ( What a good time for a break)
The streets of Cartagena takes a trip back in time and re-enacts the land battles and the sea battles that took place thousands of years ago. Few cities in Spain are able to recreate their history in such an authentic way, this event is one that should not be missed, another superb time of the year is Semana Santa (Easter) when there are fiestas and processions the like which arer hard to beat.
Los Belones
It is only 5mins away with a good range of bars and resturants available to suit all tastes-Chinese, Indian, Greek Spanish, Italian, and a particularly favourite with Brits is a Scottish run restaurant called "Oasis", which is particularly good on Wednesday evening with live music. Cabo De Palos
Cabo de Palos has a charm that is typical of the fishing villages, very frendly people people welcome us to the blend of this marine enviroment, with its bars, the paseo de la barra and its Sunday market, all of which give it a special appeal that really does invite you to visit.
The celebration of its Patron Saint, The Virgin of the Sea (La virgen del Carmen), on 15th August. Another outstanding occasion is the small procession on the Thursday of Easter Week. There is a lovely choral concert of "Habaneras" every full moon in August. It also has a range of restaurants, mainly Spanish with excellent fish dishes.
Also at Cala Flores Cabo de Palos is a beautiful cove and the beach is well worth a visit. It also has the advantage of having a number of beach bars and restaurants.
La Manga Strip. Is only 10-15 minutes away with restaurants and bars and a good night life. You have got both the sides of the sea The Mar Manor or The Mediterranean Sea. With a very good range of water sports
Calablanque Beach. Is only 10 minutes away. It is a wonderful nature reserve with unspoilt beaches, well worth the trip.
Go Carting. Is just before the La Manga Strip.
Torrevieja is 1hr drive away with Aqua Polis Water Park a great day out, for kids and adults.
Benidorm. Is only 2hrs away.
Eleche Safari Park is 1.5hrs drive away. It is a great day out, you see lots of animals and they also do shows with the seals, elephant and parrots. You can have a ride on a donkey or a camel, it also has a pool. slide. and go carting.
Terms and conditions
Smoking is not allowed inside the apartment, and only permitted on the balcony.
All cleaning before and after your stay is included in the price. We supply all the bedding, towels and beach towels, we also have a high chair and travel cot at no extra cost. We would appreciate it if you left the apartment the same way you found it.

There are also fire extinguishers on all floors of the apartment.
After the use of the sun loungers could you please put them back onto the balcony as they are for your use only. Thankyou.
