Description: |
Right on the seafront of Torrox Costa, this is a bright and airy apartment with fantastic views. The south facing balcony receives sun all day except in midsummer, when the sun is at its highest there is welcome shade around midday. To the West the main beach and start of the promenade can be seen. Straight ahead is the Balcon (bandstand where concerts are held in summer) and lighthouse, whilst the Easterly view looks out over the dry river bed towards the natural beach. You can also see the mountains from the picture window. The apartment is in a quiet location (note: the road in the pictures is a quiet cul-de-sac, whilst it is wide, it leads only to the sea and is used mainly for parking). All that you are likely to hear at night are the waves crashing! The sunrise can be viewed from the balcony all year. The sunset is just out of sight in summer months. The balcony is not overlooked.
The apartment is served by two lifts. Across the cul-de-sac is the start of the 9km sandy beach and traffic free promenade of Torrox Costa with many high quality restaurants and a refreshing lack of rowdy bars or clubs. There is ample parking. Only at weekends in July/August you may face a short walk.
The location is an ideal base for exploring the historic town of Nerja, white villages of Frigiliana, Torrox Pueblo and Competa or Granada with its ski resort. There is a bus stop nearby (online timetable available).
Many use Torrox Costa as a base to explore but equally many like to take it easy, relaxing on the balcony, strolling along the promenade and sampling the many excellent restaurants (39 on promenade at last count!). You can arrive by bus or taxi but you will see much more with a hire car at around 15 euros a day.

Notes

One fixed double bed and one pull out single. Both are full sprung mattress beds. We can recommend a good local driver or hire car companies. There is a bus stop very near the apartment.
We can arrange for a food hamper to be in the apartment for your arrival.
This apartment remains cool in the height of summer, unusually for a studio it has windows at each end and catches the breeze. In the height of summer the inside of the apartment is nicely shaded after 11am. It is also fully double glazed for winter warmth when the low sun streams in.
At present we only have Spanish television but will consider putting in satellite TV if requested for longer term bookings.
There is usually a wireless internet signal on the balcony from prepay provider akiwifi.es (not guaranteed). |

Special notes
Prices are in euros per week. We charge per night so divide weekly rate by 7 to get nightly rate. 10% discount for stays over 14 nights. 20% over 28 nights. Please enquire for longer stays. You may arrive and depart any day of the week and stay any length of time usually subject to a minimum charge of 7 nights*. End of stay cleaning, electricity and laundry is included. We also charge a refundable security deposit of 70 euros. 50% secures booking, full amount due 30 days before arrival.
*Note:- If you see a gap on the availablility calendar of less that 7 days we can usually offer a special rate for this. The 7 days minimum would not then apply. Please enquire. |
