Description: |
La Vinuela is a traditionally built Andalusian villa situated on 5000m of terraced land with almond trees, grapevines and fig and loquat trees at about 350m above sea level. It is a lovely quiet place to enjoy nature and to spend your holidays surrounded by spectacular views of the mountains with only the sound of birds and perfect for hikes and walks, but at the same time you can enjoy the typical Spanish town of Almuñecar with its tapa bars, small winding shopping streets dated from Arabic times and good and reasonable priced restaurants.
La Vinuela:
The house has two terraces, one in the shade at the entrance of the living room with a teak furniture dining table and chairs and the lower terrace with garden furniture shaded by a parasol, a beautiful 4x8 private swimming pool surrounded by gardens, with sunloungers, an outdoor shower and a BBQ. The cosy living room has a comfortable sofa and chairs, DVD, satellite TV with Dutch and English channels and a wood burning heater for chilly nights in winter. The kitchen is completely equipped for 6 persons (gas cooker, toaster, coffee machine, oven, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, hand mixer, juicer, iron with board and washing machine).
The three bedrooms sleep 6 and are arranged as follows, a master bedroom with a double bed, a double bedroom and a room with bunk beds. The bathroom has a shower, sink, bidet and toilet. On one side of the living room next to the kitchen is the dining table but this is rarely used as all meals are usually taken on the terrace while enjoying the beautiful mountain views given that the whether permits outdoors life almost all year round.
Access:
It takes about an hour by car from Malaga airport or Granada to reach Almuñecar. From there, it takes another 20 minutes to cover the 9 Km to your holyday home over a winding asphalted road except for the last 600m which is a concrete road. When you arrive in Almuñecar, the caretaker will meet you and lead you the first time to the house.
Entertainment:
Almuñecar offers a wide range of activities such as scuba diving, boat rental, sailing, paragliding, horse-riding, paintball shooting, tennis, golf and swimming. There is a water park and a bird park. Near the house is the natural park of Peña Escrita, full of all kind of animals such as hippopotamus, monkeys, mountain goats, bears etc. with free entrance and spectacular views it is a real treat.
Excursions: The beautiful caves of Nerja just 20 min. from Almuñecar. The Sierra Nevada with its ski resort open until Easter is just a 1.30 hour away, the magic Alhambra palaces at an hour’s drive and the fascinating white villages of the Alpujarra region just 40 minutes from Almuñecar.
Prices include bed, table and kitchen linen, towels, gas and electricity.
Wood for the heater and 50 euros for final cleaning costs are excluded.
Minimum stay is one week and changeover preferred on Saturdays but exceptions can be made.

A 30 % is payable on reservation, the remaining 70 % is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival. A 100 euro deposit is requested and returned on departure if all is left as found. A 50 euro extra charge is requested for final cleaning. |
