This prehistoric burial ground dates back to the Iron Age. It was used from this period until Roman times and has over one hundred underground tombs excavated into the rock. There are numerous sites of historical and cultural interest in this area. Other places well worth checking out include; the farmsteads of Son Real and la Alquiería; the Rectory; and Parish Church in Santa Margalida. Leisure: One of the most interesting historical sites in the area has to be the Labyrinth Giant Wooden Maze. Its massive. This is an absolute “must see” attraction; a great day out for the family and kids. It’s the size of a football pitch and will take you well over three quarters of an hour to figure it out! During the daytime you have to navigate your way through the maze collecting coloured fish as you go along whilst at the same time being rained upon by water sprinklers. In the evening it gets a bit more intense as scary swamp monsters and ghost are introduced. Perhaps a bit much for the young kids but for anyone over 8 years of age, its a great laugh! The maze is located just outside the resort at nearby Playa de Muro.
