Description: |
Puerto Paraiso Apartments: Superb, front-line, South facing apartment, sleeping families of 2 adults and 2 children. Ideally situated, directly overlooking the beautiful marina, with the local tapas bars and restaurants within an easy two minute walk. Two E.C. Blue Flag beaches are just a leisurely five minute walk away and the traditional white walled Estepona old town is also on the doorstep.
Apartment interior: Comprehensively furnished including fully fitted kitchen with four-ring cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge-freezer, washing machine, etc. The lounge has Sky TV providing more than 30 UK channels.
The apartment has a large open balcony, comfortably seating four people, providing panoramic views of the marina, the traditional white walled town, Gibraltar and also North Africa.
We have recently completed a full renovation of the apartment including new double glazed windows throughout, a new bathroom, a new tiled floor and new fixtures and fittings including all furniture and linen.
The sofa bed can be used as a large double bed with appropriate bedding available. The bedroom also overlooks the marina with amazing sea views. An outside balcony provides comfortable seating for four people where you can sit in the sun and marvel at the sensational views of the Marina. The ideal place to relax and recharge the batteries!
Our goal has been to provide a home from home for our guests, within one of the most beautiful, unspoilt and typically Spanish areas of the Costa del Sol.
About the area: Puerto Paraiso is ideally situated overlooking the marina in the heart of Esteponas thriving fishing port & marina. For many years the 2 beaches nearby have been awarded EC Blue Flag status for cleanliness and safety and in high season are manned daily with lifeguards. They also have well maintained toilet and shower facilities and a choice of chiringuitos (beach front restaurants) with a true Spanish feel. Ideal for spending a full day on the beach!
Within a few minutes walk you will find several supermarkets and shops and the local tapas bars and restaurants are situated in Estepona Marina an easy 2 minutes walk away.
Estepona, due to its natural environment, surrounded by the sea and Sierra Bermeja mountains, enjoys a microclimate with over 325 days of sunshine per year.
Local activities - Estepona has many facets which makes it a popular holiday destination for those looking for a relaxing break to unwind, eat well, have a cool drink and chill out, people watching. It has 2 EC Blue Flag beaches, a popular marina area with many tapas bars and restaurants and a lovely white walled town with a pedestrianised shopping area. All within a 5 minute walk.
Gibraltar - Only 35 minutes drive from Estepona, Gibraltar is a sunny, VAT-free haven where you can find duty free bargains from electronic equipment & jewellery to leather & perfumes & haggling is encouraged! Make sure you dont miss the spectacular natural caverns of St. Michaels Caves or visit the Apes Den, home to some of Gibraltars famous Barbary Apes, the only free-to-roam primates in Europe. Watch out for monkey business as they can be mischievous and have been known to pick the occasional pocket looking for treats.
Puerto Banus - Puerto Banus is about 20 minutes drive away. It has a large number of designer stores including Versace and Armani. Perfect for millionaire spotting and you may also see a famous face in the marina as a number of Hollywood stars have summer homes there.
Laguna Village - A stunning high class shopping experience just 10 minutes drive away. Whether spending an extravagant day at the beach club, shopping in the designer stores or spending time in the luxurious bars and restaurants then Laguna Village (laguna-village.com) is the ideal place.
Selwo Safari Park - The park is based on the African safari park and houses 2000 animals in semi-wild conditions. Only 20 minutes drive away (and on the public transport route), Selwo is ideal for the perfect family day out.
Golf - There are over 20 courses within a 45 minute drive. The local Estepona Golf Club (esteponagolf.com) is reasonably priced between 20 - 60 euros for a round and the Sunday Express regarded their greens as some of the best on the Costa Del Sol. Also Monte Mayor Golf and Country Club (montemayorgolf.laperlainternationalliving.com) with its exciting fairway winding through dramatic gullies, ravines and streams, offers a superb challenge to even the most experienced golfers.
Where else to visit? Also trips to beautiful Ronda and Casares are recommended if you have time. Or why not try Tangiers, North Africa which is only a 30-45 minute ferry crossing away.

Puerto Paraiso Apartments are ideally situated - close to the Port and all the excellent Bars and Restaurants. The town - old and new - is only a 15 minute walk away, with many more restaurants of all types of cuisine. This apartment has recently had a complete revamp and must be considered to be the best. Attention to detail is the order of the day and everybody can rest assured of a great stay in our haven. "
The Hill family: "Everything about this apartment was excellent. It had recently undergone a high class refurbishment. It was like being in a 5 star hotel, with more space. The views from the apartment were magnificent. People watching from the balcony was an interesting way to pass the time. Nearby are several excellent restaurants and watering holes. For anyone wishing to venture further into the town there are more restaurants. The town is very Spanish and it is a superb place to sit and watch the world go by.It is possible to go on "outings" from Estepona which cater for the British tourist. Also good local bus services to neighbouring towns. A taxi from one end of town to the other is about 5 euros. We found that dealing with the owner was a relaxed experience. We were able to negotiate arrival dates and times and were received in Estepona by a delightfully friendly lady who showed us around the apartment, prior to leaving us alone. She was, however, available by phone in the event of us needing her. The best recommendation is, would we go again? Most certainly. Would we recommend it to family and friends? Very definitely."

If you are looking for a resort that has bars with loud music,kareoke,discos, fish n chips and all day english breakfasts..forget it you wont find it here..thank goodness.If however you are looking for a quite family resort with some good restaurants to suit all tastes,nice beaches and convienent access to good golf courses then you wont find better but dont tell everyone its one of Spains well kept secrets.We have been coming to Estepona for 15 years now and never dream of going anywhere else, its not given way to commercialism like other resorts.Cannot wait to return in September."

Further details outdoors - There is a large South facing balcony directly overlooking Estepona Marina which is only 50 metres away. Perfect for watching the sun rise across the sea!
For your peace of mind, if you have hired a car, the apartment also provides parking along a private cul de sac.
Whilst the apartment is only on the third floor there are 2 extremely reliable lifts so access to the apartments is not an issue. |

Special notes In order to secure a booking a non returnable deposit of £50 (or 75 euros) per week is required. This reduces the balance detailed in the table above by 75 euros. The balance in euros is payable upon arrival together with a security deposit of 200 euros (or £140) which is returned less the cost of any breakages or damages upon departure.
The apartment will be available between 16.00 & 22.00 hours on the day of arrival until 10.00 am on the day of departure. Where possible we will try to accommodate earlier or later times but these must be agreed prior to booking.
