Description
Secluded below the church in the attractive Medieval village of Torla lies our tastefully converted pajar. Torla, in the heart of the Spanish Pyrenees, is the gateway to the dramatic National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido with spectacular scenery and walks. For the more adventurous, white water rafting, mountain biking, horse riding, canoeing, canyoning, and via ferrata can all be arranged locally.
Mount Mondarruego forms the backdrop to our house, Casa Petirrojo, which is set on three floors, sleeping 4 comfortably, and with its own sun terrace. Oak parquet floors, wood beams and period antique furniture all add to the charm of this cosy and well equipped house.
The top floor consists of one double and one single bedroom, shared bathroom with heated towel rail, WC, sink, bath and shower. The kitchen-lounge diner with fireplace is on the middle floor. The lower floor has bunk beds in one room and a small bedroom with a further double bed, shared bathroom with heated towel rail, shower, WC, sink and bidet. There is also a utility room with washer, iron and ironing board. All floors have central heating.
Location
The house is just 2 minutes by foot up the steps to the charming village of Torla, with its narrow streets, medieval architecture and stunning mountain views. Local facilities include 2 supermarkets, tourist information with free internet access, 2 banks, doctors and chemist, local butcher, and numerous restaurants.
The newly built National Park Visitors Centre is just 150m away. During peak holiday periods a shuttle bus runs from here into the Ordesa national park.. Outside these times the park can be reached by car (8km) or by foot (throughout the year), a beautiful 2 hour hike from the house. There are dozens of possibilities for spectacular walks, both from the house and within the park.
Times to other towns by car; 5 mins to Broto for petrol and medical centre, 50 mins to the moorish walled town of Ainsa. 60 mins to Jaca and then on to the valley of Anso. 90 mins to the provincial capital of Huesca. 80 mins to the spectacular National Park of Sierra de Guara.
Omschrijving van de vakantiewoning
Afgezonderd en in de nabijheid van de kerk in het mooie middeleeuwse dorp Torla ligt ons smaakvol renoveerde huis. Torla, in het hart van de Pyreneeën, is de doorgang tot het spectaculaire nationale park van Ordesa en Monte Perdido met adembenemende omgeving en mooie wandelingen. Voor de meer avontuurlijke mensen kan wildwater raften, mountainbiking, paardrijden, kanoen, ‘canyoning’ en ‘via ferrata’ allemaal lokaal worden geregeld.
Mount Mondarrango vormt het decor voor Casa Petirrojo wat drie verdiepingen heeft. Het huis heeft meer dan voldoende ruimte voor vier personen en een eigen zonterras. Dit gezellige huis is goed ingericht, heeft eikenhouten vloeren, houten balken en antiek meubilair.
De bovenste verdieping bevat een tweepersoons- en een éénpersoonskamer, een badkamer met verwarmde handoekrek, wasbak, WC bad en douche. In de middelste verdieping bevindt zich de woon-/eetkamer met open keuken en open haard. In de onderste verdieping is er een slaapkamer met stapelbedden en nog een tweepersoonskamer, een badkamer met douche, WC, wasbak, en bidet. Verder is er een bijkeuken met wasmachine, strijkijzer en strijkplank. Op alle verdiepingen is er centrale verwarming.
Plek van de vakantiewoning
Het huis is twee minuten lopen van het mooie dorp Torla met zijn smalle straten, middeleeuwse architectuur en schitterend berg uitzichten. Lokale faciliteiten zijn o.a. 2 supermarkten, VVV kantoor met gratis internet toegang, 2 banken, huisarts, farmacie, een slager en een aantal restaurants.
Het nieuw gebouwd National Park Visitors centrum is slechts op 150m afstand. Tijdens de vakantie piek perioden rijdt een shuttle bus vanaf Torla naar de Ordesa National Park. Buiten deze perioden kan het park per auto (8km) of per voet bereikt worden het hele jaar door. Het is een mooie 2 uur wandeling vanaf het huis. Er zijn vele mogelijkheden voor spectaculaire wandelingen zowel vanaf het huis als binnen het park.
Afstanden (in minuten) naar andere steden per auto zijn:
Broto – 5 minuten (benzine station en medisch centrum)
Ainsa – 50 mins (voor Moorse ommuurde stad)
Jaca en Anso vallei – 60 mins
Huesca – 90 mins (provinciaal hoofdstad)
Nationaal park van Siërra de Guara – 80 mins
Description
Retiré dans le village médiéval de l’attrayante Torla réside notre maison juste sous léglise, un « pajar » converté de bon goût. Torla, dans le coeur des Pyrénées espagnoles, est l’entrée des spectaculaires Parcs Nationaux dOrdesa et Monte Perdu aux paysages et promenades splendides. Pour les plus aventureux, peuvent être organisées localement rafting, VTT, équitation, canoë, canyoning et via ferrata.
Notre maison Casa Petirrojo a pour toile de fond le Mount Mondarruego et se comporte de trois étages, ou 4 personnes peuvent confortablement résider dormir avec une terrasse privative et ensoleillée. Parquet de chêne, poutres en bois et les meubles anciens ajoutent au charme de cet établissement confortable et bien équipé.
Le dernier étage est composé dune chambre double et d’une chambre individuelle, d’une salle de bain commune avec chauffe serviettes, WC, lavabo, baignoire et douche. Au deuxième étage, la cuisine-salon-salle-à-manger est équipée d’une cheminée. A l’étage inférieur l’on trouve une chambre avec des lits superposés et une petite chambre avec un autre lit double, salle de bain commune avec chauffe serviettes, douche, WC, lavabo et bidet. Il y’a aussi une annexe avec machine á laver, fer et planche à repasser. Tous les étages ont le chauffage central.
Localisation
La maison est à seulement 2 minutes à pied du charmant village de Torla, avec ses rues étroites, larchitecture médiévale et les superbes montagnes. Le village comprend 2 supermarchés, un office du tourisme avec accès gratuit à Internet, 2 banques, médecins et pharmacies, un boucher et de nombreux restaurants.
La récente construction du Centre Touristique du parc national est à seulement 150 mètres. Pendant les périodes de vacances, une navette de bus circule du centre vers le parc national dOrdesa... En dehors de ces heures le parc est accessible en voiture (8 km) ou à pied (toute lannée) une jolie ballade de 2 heures de marche à partir de la maison. Il existe des dizaines de possibilités de randonnées spectaculaires, à la fois de la maison et à lintérieur du parc.
Proximité des autres villes en voiture : 5 min de Broto pour lessence et le centre médical, 50 min de la ville fortifiée de maure Ainsa. 60 min de Jaca, puis à la vallée de Anso. A 90 min de la capitale de la province de Huesca. A 80 minutes du spectaculaire Parc national de la Sierra de Guara

Sleeps 4 comfortably; the second double bed is a quality sofa bed in a small bedroom on the lower floor. The single beds can be converted into bunks for children.
Microwave is also a combi oven and grill.
For your convenience we provide essentials such as coffee, tea, sugar, cooking oil, kitchen and toilet rolls etc.
Large free car park @150m away from the house.

Special notes
To guarantee the reservation we ask for 25% of the accommodation cost within 5 days of booking. This deposit to be paid by bank transfer (bank costs at your expense if applicable). The remainder is due 30 days prior to rental start along with a security deposit of 300 euros. The latter is returned on departure subject to no damage.
changeover day is normally Saturday, however, this is flexible depending on demand. We ask guests to check out by 11am on the morning of departure. Check-in is after 4pm on the day of arrival.
