LOCATION
Viñaros is situated on the Mediterranean Coast, 175 km south of Barcelona and 120km north of Valencia.
The Viñaros coastline has a string of unspoilt coves with clear water and rocky sea beds, ideal for snorkelling. However, at the centre of Viñaros lies Forti, a wide popular beach with fine sand and all the necessary facilities. The bustling promenade leads to a fishing port, where daily catches are brought ashore. There is also a Yacht Club with a Diving Association which organises dives off the local island of Islas Columbretes.
The centre of the town of Viñaros has all the charm of a traditional working Spanish town with pavement cafes and bars serving traditional Spanish dishes of tapas.. Besides an indoor market selling fresh vegetables, fruit, fish and meat, there is a large outdoor market held every Thursday. It also has its own bullring, with bullfights which is still in use today and is extremely popular.
Viñaros and its surrounding area is steeped in history and has a 13th century church. Throughout the year, Festivals are numerous, the largest and most dramatic being held in February, There are also festivals to celebrate the Prawns and Artichokes, both of which are famed for this area.
SURROUNDING AREA OF VIÑAROS.
Panoramica Golf Course
For golfers, there is a beautiful championship golf course, designed by Bernard Langer, within a 15 minute drive from Viñaros. This course and other facilities are suitable for players of all levels of ability. Clubs, trolleys and Buggies can be hired and there is also a ‘golf school’ for all abilities.
River Ebre Delta
This is a huge nature reserve and bird sanctuary, and has beautiful quiet sandy beaches. The delta is also one of the largest rice growing areas in Spain and the river provides every water activity available, boat trips, jet skis fishing etc.
Peñiscola
A beautiful 14th Century castle town full of shops and restaurants, a craft market throughout the summer, and boasts one of the finest beaches in Spain. The old castle, home to the first Spanish Pope, was the location for the film El Cid.
Morella
A 40 minute drive from Viñaros into the mountains will bring you to the walled city of Morella. A stunning mediaeval town with narrow streets and pavement cafes. In the summer, for the more daring and adventurous, the town has the typical Spanish bull run (through the streets!).
Hermitage of Misericordia
Overlooking Viñaros is the old church situated on an Iberian settlement inhabited between the 6th and 1st century BC. Students have renovated the church and surrounding area. This is a beautiful spot for picnics and barbeques with panoramic views of the countryside.
Port Ventura
Approxmately one hours drive from Vinaros is a popular Universal Studios Theme Park and Aquatic Adventure Park with rides for all the family.
Other activities are a Go-Karting track on the outskirts of Vinaros and an Aquatic Park at Benicassim (30 minute drive) |

We are happy to be as flexible as possible with both the duration of your stay and the changeover day. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
CLEANING TOWELS / LINEN
The property will be cleaned and prepared for your arrival.. Towels are provided for all guests and are solely for use within the apartment. Guests are requested to bring their own beach towels. Linen and Towels are changed on a weekly basis.
DEPOSIT
20% Deposit required on booking confirmation (non-returnable). The remainder to be paid 6 weeks before arrival.
A security deposit of 200€ will be refunded following an inspection on departure or within seven days. |
