This rustic style Country-Villa with an adjoining small Guest-House (Traditional Spanish Cortijo) and private Swimming Pool is only 1 hours drive from Malaga-Airport, and is located in the beautiful countryside of Competa, Andalusia, Spain.
The location is private with its own swimming pool, BBQ, sun terraces, pergola-terrace, garden area with palm and various other trees. Both Houses accommodates a maximum of 6 Guests.
The Main-House has 2 bedrooms with ceiling fans, one with a double bed and the second bedroom with two single beds, bathroom with shower, living / dining room with a log fireplace, SAT-TV, ceiling fan, rustic style kitchen with breakfast bar, fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave.
The adjoining small Guest-House (Cortijo) has 1 double bed, bathroom with shower. Letting of this Cortijo only as addition to the Main-House, and not separate. There is a large sun- terrace and a pergola terrace, where you can eat ‘al-fresco’. This Villa and the Guest-House are on one level, and no steps have to be used.
This Villa has sun loungers and table and chairs for you to use, either by the pool terrace or the more shaded pergola-terrace area. There is also SAT-TV with English, French, Dutch, German and Italian program channels.
The location of this Villa offers beautiful views to the sea, the mountains and the surrounding countryside. This Property is perfect for enjoying the local small white villages, the excellent value of the local restaurants, visits to the historic places of Andalusia, walking in the mountains, or just relaxing by the pool. As the beaches are only 20 minutes away, you may cenjoy a few days on the sandy or rocky beaches at Nerja, or Torrox-Costa. There are also excellent and long promenades, to walk along the costas.

Villa Rustica is a few minutes drive from the white washed villages of Competa, known locally as the Pearl of the Axarquia. The village of Competa has many bars and restaurants offering excellent tapas and meals at low prices.
The area of Competa has one of the best climates in Europe, and the land surrounding the village and down to the coast is filled with vineyards, olive, almond and lemon groves, tropical fruits such as avocado, mango, oranges, lemons. The Village is situated 50 km east of Malaga and approximately 16 km from the coast with a population of about 3.400 inhabitants. It is situated on the route of sun and wine. The municipalities included in this route are: Competa, Algarrobo, Sayalonga, Canillas de Albaida, Torrox, Frigiliana and Nerja. The main agricultural product is the grape, and the wines of Competa are some of the finest in the whole province. The village has retained its original Moorish structure with the white fronted houses and an interesting contrast is the brick tower of the Parish Church of La Asuncion. There is also the nature reserve, a perfect example of the beauty of this region. This medium sized village is surrounded by delightful olive groves and almond blossoms, and a 4.000 hectare wide wildlife reserve. Competa itself boasts a host of entertainment: there are is a modern swimming pool, local bodegas, riding stables, several craft boutiques and more than 30 bars and restaurants where you can taste the famous Vino de Cómpeta, Sangria and a great variety of tapas.
This tranquil village provides the ideal place for those who are seeking a less stressful lifestyle in one of the best climates in Europe. The Sierras lie to the North and the wide expanse of the Mediterranean to the South. The area is immersed in the history of past civilizations. The visitor to Competa will find the sights, sounds, colours and scents of its Arabic ancestry integrated into the everyday life of its inhabitants. The winding streets and traditional houses still reflect the influence of the Carthaginians, the Romans and the Moors.
