Villa Rocas
A fabulous spacious villa with private pool and sea views. In a superb location, 5mins by car to historic BEGUR and 2km to the fishing village and deep sand bay at Sa Riera with waterfront restaurants. A particularly peaceful setting with sea views from all bedrooms and living room.
Furnished and equipped to a very good standard throughout. The garden is enclosed and on one level and offers privacy with a private pool [3m x 6m] lawn, covered dining terrace and decked sun terrace.
Five bedrooms: 2 double ensuite and 3 twins
Four bathrooms: 2 ensuite
Arranged over three floors, Villa Rocas is approached by private drive with parking for 2 cars. The entrance level has hall, double bedroom with ensuite shower room and utility room with washer, dryer and sink.
The first floor opens to a large open plan living area with comfortable seating and dining area, twin bedroom, bathroom and well fitted kitchen with all amenities including dishwasher.
Glass doors from the living room lead to a covered dining terrace and lawned area surrounding the pool, with a sundeck. The kitchen door conveniently leads to the bbq area.
Top floor: Master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and private terrace with sea views. In addition on this level are two twin bedrooms which share a bathroom.
Within 10-15 mins are other coastal villages such as Llafranc, Calella de Palafrugel Tamariu and Aiguablava.

About the area ~
The nearest beach at SA RIERA is just a 5 minute drive. Sa Riera is an old fishing village which has been revamped but still retains its charm. There are several waterfront restaurants and a few shops, bars and cafes. The beachside is littered with pretty fishermens cottages, many of which are now holiday homes Within 10-15 minutes are the excellent beaches and coastal villages of AIGUABLAVA, TAMARIU, CALELLA DE PALAFRUGELL and LLAFRANC.
Begur - This charming hillside town with its cobbled streets offers the visitor an outstanding choice of Catalan restaurants, tapas bars and shops. The main square has entertainment in the high season and there are many late night bars and a couple of discos. The overall atmosphere is very Spanish with local artists` paintings and crafts displayed in the square during the summer. Every Wednesday there is a market sellling fruit/veg clothes and accessories. There are excellent supermarkets,specialist fishmonger, butchers` shops and freshly baked bread available in many shops.
General information on the area ~
This is the unspoilt COSTA BRAVA or CATALUNYA which is free from large Tour Operated holidays and where most of the properties are owned by Barcelonians. It is rarely overcrowded and has retained real Spanish charm without a souvenir shop in sight! This is an area you will want to return to again and again.... Every day there will be a different place of interest to visit, be it a cultural pursuit or another sundrenched sandy cove with clear water to while away the day. All the coastal resorts here have waterfront restuarants, cafes and shops and it is a real pleasure to wander the little streets around the front and enjoy the spectacular scenery that this rugged coastline offers. Development here is mainly villas as the terrain does not allow for large apartment blocks and the coastline remains intact with some wonderful coastal path walks.
There are many other places of interest including Salvador Dali`s castle at PUBOL and his amazing museum at Figueres, where you cannot fail to be drawn in by his diverse art. At La Bisbal the streets are littered with ceramic shops and there is also an antique centre. Girona is a wonderful small city to visit, known as mini-Barcelona, with its own charming ramblas and interesting shops and pavement restaurants. Barcelona, if you crave city life, is one hour by train from Flaca (20mins by car from Begur) and here you can leave your car and get right into the centre of Barcelona by train.
The border of France is approximately one hour away but you will find all you need and more in this beautiful and charming unspoilt region of Spain, Costa Brava. |
