Puerto del Carmen travel information

Nestled on the coast in the southern central part of Lanzarote, Puerto del Carmen is just a 10 minute drive from Arrecife Airport and is well located to explore all of Lanzarote’s tourist and cultural attractions. Like many places in Lanzarote, Puerto del Carmen was originally a small fishing village, and the old harbour is still a picturesque place to visit, boasting some excellent seafood restaurants. Although Puerto del Carmen has developed over the years, the town has been saved from high-rise development due to strict planning restrictions. The local coastline stretches along for 6 kilometres with beautiful sandy beaches.
