Pollensa is a delightful town, which although popular, still appears untouched, with its labyrinth of lanes and charming ochre-coloured houses. The town dates back to the 12th century and there are many monuments and reminders of its past. Pollensa is located in a valley, inland from its coastal resort of Puerto Pollensa. The town boasts several important music and cultural events, which take place every year. Pollensa is a good base for those who want to explore a little of Mallorcan history and culture, but also be close to the beach and coast.
