Ciutadella was once the capital of Menorca, until the British occupied the island in the 17th century. It’s still a very attractive town, with a rich and interesting history, a wonderful fishing and leisure port lined with waterside restaurants serving the local catch of the day. Ciutadella is dotted with picturesque garden squares and also has an interesting old quarter to explore There is no beach in Ciutadella, but there are some small beaches just 3 kilometres away.
