The small town of Bunol is located in the countryside, 38 kilometres from the city of Valencia, in the province of the same name. Archaeological evidence dates the region’s birth back 50,000 years. The town is situated on the Bunol River, surrounded by beautiful mountains and agricultural land. Bunol is home to the Castle of Bunol and has many other cultural attractions, the most famous of which is the Tomatina Festival, which takes place every August; where people literally take to the streets to hurl tomatoes at each other. The festival attracts over 30,000 visitors from all over the world.
