We had a great two weeks at Jan and Andrews place. Such a lovely couple, we had a lovely evening of drinks and good conversation with them and Douglas the dog of course. The house was great and it was a lovely village, very friendly. Buses were cheap and clean with friendly drivers. Hopefully will return again. A car would be useful if you want to tour the area.
Dear Judith, Ian and James, Thank you for your review. It was a pleasure to have your company, we loved chatting with you. Please do let us know if there is anything that we can do to improve the holiday eWe understand your journey home was a little traumatic. Please give our good wishes toIan and we hope you are all well. Best wishes Jan and Andrew
My partner Jane and I stayed at the property for the month of May. We were greeted by the owners Jan and Andrew who provided a thorough overview of the property facilities and the village of Moclinejo. The property is beautifully presented both internally and externally with a private courtyard and pool area. We had family and friends visit at various times during the month and with the added flexibility of the additional annex we were able to accommodate all very comfortably. The village itself is very charming and friendly with adequate facilities including two good restaurants and a convenience store for essential provisions. A 15 minute drive down the hill takes you to the coastal town of Rincon de la Victoria with its sweeping beaches and many bars and restaurants. The beaches were virtually empty and the town itself is bustling but easy to get around. Our hosts were extremely friendly and very easy to get along with, giving you all the privacy you require while being on call if there was anything you needed. I would strongly recommend this property with its amazing position and excellent flexible facilities. We will certainly be looking to return.

A perfect holiday in a beautiful quiet village. The property exceeded our expectations, is beautifully appointed and has everything you need. Travelling with two families our family stayed in the 3 bedroomed house which is very comfortable and typically Spanish. The outside areas are excellent with a nice pool and shade in various areas throughout the day. Sat under the grape vines on an evening was lovely. The village itself as previously mentioned is very quiet with a couple of bar/restaurants a small supermarket and a bakery but there's everything you need. We didn't hire a car but used the regular bus service to visit Rincon and Malaga City, Malaga being well worth a visit. The bars in the market square are busy on an evening with the majority of customers being local and you're made to feel very welcome. The food is good and we found it very reasonable. And finally the owners, from the moment we arrived Jan and Andrew made us feel welcome, they were there should we need them and Andrew popped round on a regular basis to clean and check the pool. We had the pleasure of their company one evening for a drink and we could have happily sat chatting and listening to the story of their adventures and what brought them to Spain, a truly lovely couple. Given the opportunity we'd definitely go back.
What can we say in response to such a wonderful review, but many many thanks. We look forward to seeing you again!!
We spent a wonderful week in La casita azul. The week before we had stayed in a house overlooking Lake Iznájar, so we were a bit afraid we would feel closed in, since this house is located in the centre of a village. Luckily, we were wrong: from the patio you can enjoy some mountain views and from the roof terrace you can also see the sea. The house was very clean and the pool and the garden are perfectly maintained. Jan and Andrew had already provided us with some drinks and food on arrival. They are perfect hosts: there when you need them, but for the rest they stay in the background. On our final evening in Moclinejo they invited us for some pre-dinner drinks on their rooftop terrace and we enjoyed their wonderful stories and their lovely sense of humour. They try to make your stay as agreeable as possible. We think it’s very good that they don’t rent out the second house on the domain to people not belonging to your group. The location is only a 15-minute-drive from the motorway, so Malaga and other places of interest are easy to reach. There is a (very) small supermarket in the village and two bar-restaurants are just around the corner. A holiday home to come back to in the future
Thank you for leaving our house in such good order. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay. Jan andAndrew
