Client comments “Thanks for a wonderful stay at your villa - it has been fantastic. We will be back.” - MA, Denmark “We had a terrific stay at VillaMax. A delightful property, with all the necessary facilities to make a perfect stay. Stunning views and very peaceful - far from the madding crowd - just what we needed. Took four teenagers who thoroughly enjoyed chilling by the pool, followed by a night in Denia (car required!). We enjoyed watching the sun set on the hills” - IJ, South Yorkshire, UK “We had the best time in the villa over our week, and want to know the rates and availability for the same time next year.” - JB, Kent, UK “We enjoyed a comfortable stay at VillaMax and had trouble getting our daughters to leave! Thank you for a very relaxing holiday.” - CE, Surrey “We had a lovely time at VillaMax - you have a very well cared for villa. My husband and kids (7 and 3 years old) had a great time in the pool and we loved the view especially at night” - LO, Holland “Just wanted to write and say how much we all enjoyed our stay at VillaMax at the weekend - it is beautiful not only in location but views & the decor is perfect. Thank you” - KL, Essex, UK “We had a lovely holiday and were impressed with the villa as it was exactly the same as described and shown on your website. It was clean and fresh and with modern furnishings. The setting is very peaceful and the views across the valley are quite special. A very relaxing break for us.” - JK, Yorkshire, UK General The local beach (5km away) is wide, of soft white sand, safe, 18km long, never crowded and has always maintained its ‘Blue Flag’ status. Beach facilities are excellent with beach bars, restaurants, beach sports of all sorts, lifeguards and Red Cross first aid facilities. Located within the urbanisation is a ‘commercial centre’ with two bars and two restaurants. Denia (20km away) is a bustling, seaside resort with a fishing port, night-life, historic sites and all the attractions that a Mediterranean town has to offer. Denia was founded, by the Romans and re-built as a strong trading port by the Moors. Indeed it was one of the Moors last strongholds in Spain. Its trading history and fortifications are quite impressive. From Denia one can catch a ferry to the Balearic Islands, jet skiing, deep-sea fishing, glass-bottomed boats, etc. There is a narrow gauge railway from Denia to Alicante, which has been described in a travel review as ‘one of the the best rail journeys in Europe’. The local village of Pego (founded in 1488) is small enough to be intimate, but large enough to have all facilities you might need, including: tourist office, tapas bars, restaurants, taxi services, patisseries and supermarkets. Local markets are held in Pego and other nearby towns on a weekly basis. Activities and facilities located nearby are: · Superb beaches. · Fishing. · Snorkelling and scuba diving. · Surfing. · Sail Boarding · Canoeing/Kayaking · Paddle boarding · Tennis · Padel Tennis · Hiking · Biking · Golf (3 championship courses within 15km). · Paragliding · Go-Karting · Terra Mitica and Aqualandia theme parks in Benidorm. · Denia Castle · Local caves · Boat trips to see dolphins · River boating · Quad biking

The house itself was great, good layout, clean and tidy, and with sensible and comfortable furniture both inside and out. The covered porch was our favorite place and we spent a ton of time in the shade when we were not in the super pool. House and owner lived up to the expectations, Mark was great in communicating and solving any small issues along the way. The drawback of the house is only one thing, and that is the lack of air-condition. While we were there (20-30th of June), temps rose up to 40 Celsius and it was quite hard to sleep at night, and also relax when it was that warm. Having AC would be such a relief. The area is a bit "boring". Pego is a small and cramped town, it might be good, but we ended up not spending much time there due to difficulties in parking, narrow and confusing layout etc. We did shop in the new supermarket in outskirts of Pego almost every day, recommend it strongly. But the Pego area is lacking quite a bit in things to do, you need to travel some distance to find things, and it shows a bit of tear and wear due to harder times the last few years. But if you do have a car - which you must in this location - it is not the biggest issue. The only real downside we found with the stay was a rooster-pen at the neighboring lot. They had two roosters and those 2 started at 4.30 every single morning, making a ton of noise and making it impossible to sleep through it. Combined with no AC in the house meant we had to sleep with the windows open, and that woke us up. We're not particularly light sleepers but with heat and noise, we got a lot less rest than we would like.

We will recommend this house .. absolutely!!! It was nice both indoor and outdoor. To have our own pool was much more fantastic than we have expected. We love this place, and would like to come back!! The internet didn't work the first days (therefore 4½ star), but the owner did everything to fix it! Great supermarket 10 minutes drive away. And 10 minutes to the Beach (we were not impressed .. the sand was yellow, the water was not clear because of waves, but sandy bottom, but then we used the pool, and that was fine).
