We had a wonderful 12 nights at Casa Alegria. The villa is really well equipped, with everything you need. We enjoyed the terraces and the pool, and made lots of use of the table tennis table and bbq. It’s walking distance to Velilla Beach with shops, restaurants etc (15 minutes down, a steep 20 minute walk back up!) lovely part of Spain, very unspoilt with stunning beaches - recommend Playa el Canuelo. Jasmine was really helpful and flexible around booking. Thank you.
Dear Lisa, Thank you very much for this very nice review! you were lovely guests! Kind regards, Jasmine

We have recently stayed at Casa Alegria for 8 nights. It was a wonderful, peaceful and tranquil haven. Views from all of the terraces were magnificent. The villa is very well appointed - classy, comfortable, homely and unpretentious. Stay here - you will we are sure remember it as a lovely experience and want to return. Alan And Freda

What a way to spend parental leave!!! :) My husband and I just came back from an amazing 6 week stay in Almunecar with our baby boy and 2.5 yr-old girl. The villa itself was beautiful, clean, well-equipped and complete with incredible views from almost every single window, door and balcony! The view of the sunrise every morning was spectacular, especially with a cup of coffee from the villa's fancy Jura machine :). The lawn, pool, jacuzzi and terraces were well cared for, and the property manager Terry and his daughter Claire were unbelievably helpful whenever anything came up. Terry was even kind enough to go to the pharmacy for us on our second day when we were too under the weather to go ourselves. The location of the villa is wonderful, as it is quite high up on a mountain (hence the gorgeous views). Unfortunately, we did have to rent a car (which we were hoping not to do) - the drive was just too steep and far for our children's stroller. So, if you have young children....or are planning on getting groceries at least once every few days, you'll need a car. We also enjoyed exploring almost every cultural/historical site Almunecar had to offer. The beaches were always a favourite on which to stroll anytime of day, and the many different parks sprinkled throughout the town kept our busy 2 yr-old very happy and entertained. The restaurants along the ocean, however, weren't ALWAYS impressive; Despite their wonderful locations, we found most of our best meals were at places tucked away on streets WITHIN the town, not at the places along with beach. That being said, however, we didn't have a chance to try ALL the oceanside restaurants, and I'm sure there are some lovely places. A couple of our favourite places to eat were the Churreria on the same street as the tourist office...fantastic chocolate and churros! And very good prices for a little snack. Taberna Ayer....this place had fantastic wraps, the BEST coffee in town and heavenly dessert..... the chocolate brownie thing...unbelievable! And one more place we enjoyed.... Restaurante Bueno had AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS couscous/meat/vegetable dishes...my husband loved it and he doesn't even usually eat couscous ;) Ultimately, we had a wonderful trip and made incredible memories. Staying at Casa Alegria made travelling with two very young children comfortable and enjoyable. Anytime we had a question or concern, Jasmine and Bart were quick to respond via email, and Terry would be there in a jiffy to sort it all out. We would certainly stay here again in a heartbeat if we ever got the chance again! Thank you so much, sunny Spain!! xoxox Lindsey, Micky, Maya and Redding

We had a great 5 days over new year. Bart and jasmine were great at answering our questions and getting back to us quickly. We really appreciated the milk, bread and wine that they left for us. The villa is fab. Lots of lovely terraces to relax on (and drink wine!) and have family meals and watch the sun rise with a cuppa. Really enjoyed the hot tub. Spent a lot of time in that. Sue - the property manager - was great. Have us lots of local tips. Used as a base to visit Granada only an hour away. Perfect getaway if you want to relax!!
