Our holiday home Seemannsgarn 2 was freshly renovated in 2017 and 2018. Our guests appreciate the amenities of a modern holiday home with a maritime flair. The corner house with the red roof is surrounded by a small green plot and a car park in front of the house. The beach chair and our logo, the sailor, are clearly visible.

The house has a kitchen, bathroom, living room and two bedrooms, one of which is at ground level and ideal for older people in particular, as there is no need to climb stairs.
In our combined living/dining area with couch, dining set and table as well as a 124 cm flat screen with SmartTV (Internet) and a large assorted programme and channel variety in German and other languages, free and unlimited Internet (local, slow) WLAN, USB wall charging socket, Hi-Fi compact system Internet and DAB+ radio as well as a large collection of games for the whole family can also be used to bridge bad weather days. A weather station with a satellite-controlled four-day weather forecast is ideal for planning excursions. Large windows allow you to look out onto the garden.
Cooking is fun in the kitchen: dishwasher, fridge, 4-ring ceramic hob as well as toaster, kettle and coffee machine are available and were newly purchased in 2017. We don't have an oven, but we do have a microwave with grill function.
In the small bathroom, we were looking for storage space. There is a hairdryer, a rain shower with hand shower and a low child and senior-friendly washbasin.
The hallway has space for shoes and jackets. A full-length mirror is of course also there, as are cleaning utensils.
The bedroom on the ground floor is simply cosy. A double bed with cold foam mattresses, bedside table, reading lamp and wardrobe with integrated safe for free use can be found there.
The bedroom on the upper floor with its large triangular window facing south-west has a double bed with bedside table and reading lamp, SAT-TV flat screen TV. A separate dressing area with chairs is located in front of the bedroom. Upstairs is also the reading area with seating, reading lamp and books for young and old.

Outdoor area:
Use the spacious covered terrace with large seating and dining area. Largely sheltered from the wind and rain, the terrace is also practical in bad weather.
We are a non-smoking house, but smokers will also find their place under the covered terrace.
A beach chair and barbecue are also available. Bicycles can be stored under the covered terrace. A small private garden area in front of the house completes the outdoor offer.

The new 8 kg washing machine and a new 10 kg tumble dryer are available for shared use in the common laundry room.

Special features:
Long-term guests are welcome all year round, a separate telephone number is available in the house, free unlimited calls to German landlines can be made. In addition, our guests can be called as often as they like or have their number forwarded directly to the house. A letterbox and doorbell are also available so that you can have your mail forwarded from home.
We are a child-friendly house. There is a public playground 200 metres away.
We are also senior-friendly. We offer step-free and barrier-free access to the house, ground-floor sleeping and living for 2 people on the ground floor. The kitchen, bathroom and living room are also on the ground floor. No stairs are necessary for 2 people. Another 2 people plus 1 toddler can sleep on the upper floor.

Friedrichskoog / Surroundings / Beach:
Our holiday homes are close to the beach and idyllically situated in a quiet residential street, approx. 60 metres from the dyke / pleasure beach behind the dyke entrance. The North Sea is practically on your doorstep. Take a walk on the dyke and enjoy the incredible panorama.

In our renovated Seemannsgarn holiday homes, you can experience the North Sea feeling and Thalasso climate at any time of year. The healthy North Sea climate of the Friedrichskoog peninsula with its iodine-rich, mild sea air and salty wind is beneficial for body and soul. Here you can experience a natural landscape that is unique in the world: the Wadden Sea.
In June 2009, it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List for being "an outstanding natural phenomenon of outstanding natural and aesthetic importance". 2 minutes on foot and you become part of this natural experience.
Hike the mudflats, listen to the sea, watch the animals or simply relax in a beach chair - that's Friedrichskoog.
Stroll along our 2.6 km long green dyke beach and marvel at the unique panorama and the vastness. Or stroll along the Trischendamm 2.3 km into the sea.
Let your children play on the green beach or dig in the sea sandpit. The shallow water is perfect for splashing around.
Explore the Friedrichskoog-Spitze peninsula and the surrounding area by bike. Many idyllic corners are waiting to be discovered by you.
Take advantage of the health aspect of the North Sea spa Friedrichskoog-Spitze. Hardening and general invigoration are the positive aspects of a stay in the stimulating climate of Friedrichskoog. To reach the holiday home Seemannsgarn 2, navigate to Möwenweg 6, 25718 Friedrichskoog. Park directly in front of the corner house on the right. If you arrive at Strandweg (directly on the dyke), continue to Parallelweg, turn left there, take the next left into Glurenstieg and then the second left into Regentütenstieg. Then drive straight on towards the dyke to Möwenweg 6.
If you are travelling with more than one car, we ask you to park only one vehicle at the property. With the other vehicle, please use the nearby small free public car park (without parking sign) at the intersection Möwenweg/Regentütenstieg or at Strandweg 5.

Tourist tax: Tourismus Service Friedrichskoog charges a seasonal tourist tax of a maximum of 2.50 per day and adult. This is to be paid separately, at the latest at the start of your holiday.

Rain-shower with detachable shower head for handholding, lowly installed wash-bowl suitable for infants and senior citizens. Windowed bathroom with plenty of storage space. Hairdryer.
Hallway: wardrobe with shoe-board and whole-body-mirror. One high-child's seat for your infant is free of charge.
Bedroom 1 on ground floor:
Double bed with nightstand and reading lamp, wardrobe and integrated safe free of charge.
Bedroom 2 on upper floor:
2 twin beds with nightstand and reading lamp, Satellite-TV and wardrobe. Additional Hauck portacrib (bed for baby / infant till age of 3) is available free of charge.

Outdoor space:
Our guests can spend quality time outdoors. There is a spacious terrace with seating furniture. It is partly roofed, so it can also be used on rainy days. We are a non-smoking house, but under the roofed terrace, even smokers can enjoy their cigarettes.
Additionally, we offer a private beach chair and a kettle barbeque. Bikes can be stored on the terrace as well. A small garden rounds up your outdoor space.

Specialties:
We offer child-friendly homes. A public playground is approx. 200 metres away.
Additionally, our houses meet the needs of the elderly insofar, as we offer a sleeping-room on the ground floor. Kitchen, bathroom and living room are also situated on the ground floor. For two people, there is no need to climb stairs. Another 2 people and 1 baby/infant can sleep upstairs.
Long-term rentals are welcome. A telephone number is installed, to which our guests can redirect their home phone numbers. Free calls (German landline) are allowed and included, postbox and doorbell are also there. The post can be redirected to this address.

Depending on your navigation system arriving at Strandweg, drive along until Parallelweg, take a left and take the next left again into Glurenstieg. Then take the second road left into Regentütenstieg. Drive straight ahead to Möwenweg 6.

Guest service / local tax:

Our local cleaning service is your contact during your whole stay in case of trouble with the cleanliness of the house. We strive to offer you a supreme stay and aim at the best ratings. Please, always call our cleaning service, if something is not all right.

Additionally, the guests pay the local tax of max. 2,50€/day per person. It is paid at the latest upon arrival.

Christmas and New Year's Eve:
An arrival is not possible on 25.12., 26.12. and 01.01., as our cleaning service is deservedly not available on these days. Please do not book an arrival on these days, but you can depart on any of these days. If you have inadvertently booked arrival on this day, we will contact you to rebook.
