Welcome to the Sud B&B

General informations:

The Welcome to the South Bed and Breakfast is located in the center of the small olive grove adjacent to the small village of San Nicola l'Arena, also known as San Nicola Tonnara, a hamlet of Trabia, a municipality in the metropolitan city of Palermo in Sicily.

Located in the last communal street of the township, it boasts a very panoramic view of the maritime town.

The small fishing village, has chosen fishing, agriculture and tourism, to develop its local economy.
Set in a beautiful stretch of sea along the Tyrrhenian coast of western Sicily, it boasts a well-organized marina. A destination for great walks, it hosts over 900 boats and boaters from all over Italy and beyond.

At 30 km from Palermo, 38 km from Monreale, 30 km from the Madonie and 40 km from Cefalù, San Nicola L’Arena is located in a strategic position towards the main historical and cultural attractions of the Palermo area.

The sea:

Crystalline and fishy, of colorful colors (A Torre Normanna, A the navel of Venus),
rich in rocks and marine fauna (Alla Pietra flat, Formica Reserve).
A few hundred meters away you will find stretches of fine sand and shallow water (Lido Vetrana, Summer paradaise,) or mirrors of water with small sea pebbles (at the Sporting, allo Scoglio) with equipped beaches and car parking.

Most of these places are reachable from the B&B on foot, others 5 minutes by car or reachable by boat either independently or with organized tour guides.

The Bed & Breakfast:

The Villa of the B&B built 40 years ago, managed and kept by the Tomasello family from generation to generation, still preserves the scents and spaces of the past.

Olive trees, lemons, oranges, mandarins, pomegranates and medlars frame the gardens of the villa, the scents mixed with the sea breeze make the atmosphere of the B&B even more fascinating.

The panoramic view of the sea and of nature often succeeds in enchanting the guests of the villa. From north to east, from west to south the view in the B&B allows a view that goes from Capo Zafferano to the coastal territories of Campofelice di Roccella and Cefalù.
From the sea of Cefalù to that of Torre Normanna (coastal guard tower, of the Norman era). From the Castle in the port of San Nicola (owned by the Vanni Calvello princes of San Vincenzo), to the impetuous Madonie.

3 minutes walk from the center, where you can enjoy fresh fish and take advantage of all the services offered by the commercial activities of the small fishing village: pubs, bars, restaurants, pizzerias, bakeries, sandwich bars, fishmongers, supermarkets, shops of typical local products, health, pharmacy, hairdressers, barbers, electricity, ceramics, souvenir shops, shoe and clothing stores, newsstand, post office.

3 minutes walk from the San Nicola Tonnara train station, stop on the Palermo-Messina, Palermo-Agrigento and Palermo-Catania lines.

500 meters from the sea, 1 km from the equipped beaches and local beaches.
On certain days you can see the Aeolian Islands on the horizon, reachable (from June to September) from Cefalù by hydrofoil, with daily departures and returns.

The B&B offers its guests 2 rooms independent of each other:

MORGANA ROOM
Inspired by the colors of the south: white, blue, yellow, sand.
Designed to sleep and have breakfast in full relax, immersed in the nature of the countryside and the sea.
Equipped with every comfort such as: double bed and a queen-size bed; private breakfast corner (frigobar; coffee machine: coffee, tea, chocolate, cappuccino, ginseng, white milk; hotplate; toaster; juicer; table with benches; sink; variety of: accessories, food and drink); satellite TV; conditioned air; writing desk; wardrobe; luggage benches; equipped beauty toiletries (hairdryer, plate, combs, brushes, etc.).
Private bathroom with toilet-bidet, sink, shower, towels and accessories.
Private terrace with sea view, living room, parasol, orchard garden (orange, mandarin, pomegranate, olive tree).
Car parking in front of the B&B.

- Train: Palermo Central Station (30 minutes ride) or Termini Imerese Station (10 minutes ride)
