Gîte du Grabotier, a detached house (80 sq.m.) for 6 people on the Domaine de La Rouge near medieval village of Pérouges.
Comfortable, relaxing light & airy accommodation - a far cry from the original building used for storing 'grabot' (wheat husks).
Frédéric and Marie Victoire will be happy to tell you all about how the building was converted.
Entrance hall leading to dining area and modern fitted kitchen with many windows overlooking surrounding countryside.
One step down to lounge (polished concrete floor, modern uncluttered décor) with picture window opening onto terrace and shady trees (great in summer).
Corridor with 3 bedrooms with individual décor: (two 90x200cm beds, touches of red) (two 90x200cm beds, touches of turquoise) (queen-size bed, touches of mustard).
Large, practical shower room, WC (wash hand basin).|Outdoors: terrace (BBQ), outside seating area, lawn at edge of wood.
Bonus features: beds made on arrival, towels provided.
Underfloor heating.
Don't miss: medieval village of Pérouges on hilltop overlooking the Dombes plain, park/bird sanctuary at Villars-les-Dombes, Chatillon-sur-Chalaronne (covered market, outdoor markets), the Dombes with its thousand little lakes.
