We welcome you to our cosy holiday apartment "Am Obertor", which offers enough space for two adults plus a child. The apartment is equipped with everything you need. It is an ideal starting point for hiking and cycling tours or day trips to the nearby Thuringian Forest. The old town centre of the half-timbered town of Schmalkalden with the town church of St. Georg or Wilhelmsburg Castle can also be reached in 5 - 10 minutes on foot. There, quaint pubs - such as the "Green Gate" - and cozy cafés invite you to linger.
There are 2 shops in the immediate vicinity. If you're in the mood for sweets, you'll get your money's worth at the nougat and marzipan manufacturer Viba. The show factory in Vibapark can be reached by car in a few minutes.
