Visit the Le Cesine Nature Reserve (10 minutes), an oasis of biodiversity with lagoons, sand-dunes and a rich variety of migratory birds.

Bicycles are available for rental for those wishing to explore the Salento countryside in more detail. The city of Lecce (30 minutes) is famous for its wonderful Baroque architecture as well as its Roman ruins.

For a wide range of local produce, the twice-weekly market in Lecce is a treasure trove of the finest regional produce from fish, vegetables and fruit to olive oil and cheese. The closest airport is at Brindisi - just over an hour away by car.
