Passeig de Gràcia is the main artery of the new Eixample. It was created in 1860 when the city walls were demolished. Following the Cerdà plan, the district was built with money from the wealthy families of Barcelona. The bourgeois of the city were competing in aesthetic refinement with the construction of their modernist buildings. The interiors and facades were richly decorated with the most diverse materials. The Eixample dreta (right side of the district) goes from Balmes Street to paseo Sant Joan and the street of Naples. You can find there several of the main places of interest in Barcelona such as Plaça Catalunya, Passeig de Gracia, la Pedrera, Casa Batlló, etc.

Elegant Apartment, I would definitely book it again if I were to go to Barcelona again! Everythingin the apartment is tastefully designed. The beds were comfortable and the location was excellent. The staff is really helpful and responds promptly.

Big apartment, nice water pressure and heating is very adequate, bathroom is clean and kitchen is quite well equipped. Perfect area, very near of metro and other public transfer. 15 minutes to Plaça Catalunya by walking. I can only recommend.
