A pretty country holiday cottage near the sea in Dumfries & Galloway with a log burning stove. The cottage has lovely rural views overlooking extensive lawns, a tennis court and an old walled kitchen garden. The front door of this classic 'gingerbread box' luxury holiday cottage leads to an entrance hall off which is a large open plan sitting room to the left, to the right a double bedroom with king size bed and en-suite shower room. Also off the entrance hall is the traditional staircase leading up to two further bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor. The kitchen and dining area is off the sitting room and the kitchen has its own entrance and vestibule from the private car parking area. Oil fired central heating and a log burning stove in the sitting room combined with huge amounts of insulation make this a very warm and cosy home. Home Farm Cottage has its own private patio garden area to the rear, a large log store and bike shed and a barbecue. To the front is a terrace with garden furniture, extensive lawns and woodland. In late January and February, the woods feature charming drifts of snowdrops followed by daffodils and in April and May the hue turns to purple with acres of bluebells. There is colour in the gardens almost throughout the year starting with camellia during January and into March – followed with a riot of colour in April and May from the rhododendrons and...
