East Wittering is a charming village on the water with lots of independent local shops including a bakery, two butchers, greengrocers and some lovely gift shops. The Rock House in Wittering is ideal for a fun family holiday in the summer or a romantic autumn break for a couple, the sandy beach is as appealing in the summer as it is in the winter. Beautiful Grade 2 listed cottage 200 metres from the sheltered tidal Snowhill Creek at the entrance of Chichester Harbour. With the Sailing Club opposite, and a short walk to the to the famous West Wittering beach, Windsurfing Club, bird reserves and the National Trust sand dunes of East Head. The cottage is part of a row of former Coastguard Cottages, built around 1833, with small garden to the front and a small yard to the rear. Three bedrooms comprised of double bed, two singles and smaller ground floor bedroom with bunk bed. Cottage is small and compact and perfectly formed! It is cozier than the photos indicate! Temporary sailing club membership might be available and would require contacting the Sailing Club secretary via their web site.
