Located in the lower part of the popular Riviera del Sol, this light and airy 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment is set in a quiet privately owned community which boasts beautiful Mediterranean gardens and swimming pool. Our second home has been attracting holiday makers for years with many guests returning on a regular basis and appreciating the constant upgrading of the apartment – new kitchen in 2011.

Furnished to a very high standard, the apartment boasts marble flooring, hot & cold air conditioning, fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher, satellite TV and unlimited WIfi access at no extra charge. The master bedroom offers a king-size bed and ensuite bathroom (with bath) whilst the second is a twin-bedded room with adjoining bathroom; both have fitted wardrobes and there is a safe in the main bedroom.

The terrace offers views of the Mediterranean. There are table and chairs for four, and loungers to soak up the sun in private! The pool area is accessed via secured gates and has poolside showers and toilet facilities.

The apartment has the benefit of being at street level with ample parking.

Riviera del Sol is located only 25 minutes from Malaga airport and on the N340. It offers numerous bars and restaurants, supermarkets and there are banks and pharmacies, all within a 5 -10 minute walk of the apartment. The Rivera beach is also minutes away, as are numerous golf courses and the golf range. The Aztec Tennis and Country Club (2 mins walk), has not only superb tennis courts, but also terraces, a large pool and bar, Italian restaurant, gym and spa, and crazy golf. Marbella and Puerto Banus, great for shopping, eating, nightclubbing or just watching the world go by, are just a 20 minute drive away, as are Benalmadena and the pretty village of Mijas. Day trips to Gibraltar and Morocco can be organised easily. Cultural attractions in Seville, Ronda and Granada can be visited in a day trip. The coast of Andalucia, with its' miles of beaches, bars, golf courses, truly has something for everyone. Whilst a car is not necessary for staying locally, it is useful for venturing further afield. There is an excellent bus service (every 30mins from the bottom of the road) for Marbella and Fuengirola.

Don Miguel - an ideal place

In Febr./March 2012 we had a very beautiful time here and enjoyed it so much. We need not to say the same things as the other guests did – no, we only say with this sentence: IT ALWAYS WAS MORE THAN A PERFECT STAY FOR US IN YOUR BEAUTIFUL HOLIDAY HOME AND WE SAY TO YOU: MANY, MANY THANKS FOR IT !!! In these four weeks we did so many things: Monday, Wednesday and Friday we played golf on different places / tested the best / and so in the last week we played our favourites again. In a circle of a 30minutes-drive there are more than 30 different courses. In March and October they have their extra high season on the courses. The other days we toured around by car: Mijas Pueblo, Marbella, Malaga, Fuengirola, Frigiliana,Torrox/ Nerja, Ronda, Cordoba, Gibraltar (by bus) and last not least the last weekend we stayed for 3 nights in Granada (we booked the hotel from home with the tickets for the Alhambra). When we went back on Sunday afternoon to Pueblo Don Miguel, it was as coming ”back at home”. Between and after these things we had enough time, to enjoy the holiday home, especially relaxing on the sunny terrace. Pueblo Don Miguel is an ideal place for us we like to do: golfing, sight-seeing, relaxing etc. We had a very great time and our feeling here was like as our own home (but not so beautiful warm and not so much sunshine during this time). So we decided to come back next year and just made the booking. We say to Kate and Mike a big great thank-you for the unforgettable weeks.

Great apartment and fantastic holiday

Spent three weeks in this apartment in September and could not have wished for more. The apartment was so fresh and clean and the welcome bottle of wine went down a treat - it was such a balmy evening and sitting on the terrace watching the sun go down with a glass in hand was a great start to our holiday. This is a quiet area but easy to get out and about and there are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance. Calahonda and La Cala were favourites to eat in the evening - walking to Calahonda and using the bus/taxi for La Cala. At all times we felt at ease and safe. We did not bother to hire a car as the bus service, every 30 mins, sped us off to either Fuengirola or Marbella for less than 2 euros (single ticket). If you want to explore further afield as we did, you can book coach trips from an office near the supermarket or go to the Travel VIP/Flandria kiosk in Fuengirola bus station where the lady will give all the info you need - her husband is the tour guide We visited Granada including the Alhambra Palace, Ronda, Gibraltar and Tangier. On our rest days we lazed around the pool or went to the local Riviera beach. If you want sandy beaches they are a short distance away at La Cala and Cabopino - the local beach is more rocky. I would certainly recommend this apartment to anyone and hopefully we will be visiting again in the future. Next time I think we will hire a car so that we can explore at our leisure Thanks again to the owners for making our holiday very special.

Wonderful holiday and great support from the owner

We chose this property and location as a recommendation from personal friend who has been been renting this apartment for over 10 years.From the outset of my booking enquiry the owner went above and beyond the norm. All e mails were answered promptly and the amount of information provided was excellent. I particularly enjoyed our phone conversation. The apartment itself was wonderful for our family and included all that we could ever have needed. The 'kids' really appreciated the WiFi and the satellite TV. The furnishings are very comfortable and the whole place was very clean. The beach is close by and sun loungers can be hired from 4 euros a day. The pool on the complex was very clean and there is a toilet next to the pool to save you running upstairs. The standard of restaurants in and around Riviera were good with lots of choice on style - Italian, Chinese, Spanish and Indian. A twenty minute bus trip took us into the heart of Marbella's old town. Mike the owner had recommended Altamirino for fish and although it was good we preferred Zozoi across the lane. All in all apartment, service, location and local amenities were first class

Superb holiday

Booking this apartment was easy and the friendly owner, Mike, could not be more helpful. This was our second visit this year. The apartment is bright, spacious and very clean. The grounds of the complex are nice and extremely well kept. The pool is a good size, warm and relaxing and is great place to cool off after a busy day sightseeing and for develop holiday friendships especially amongst the youngsters - August comment!!! . The accommodation is very tastefully decorated and the kitchen is extremely well equipped, with a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, large fridge freezer and any utensils you may need should you wish to cook. Should cooking not be your thing, there are many bars and restaurants nearby (within walking distance) and I can strongly recommend the Pizzeria up the hill, La Plaza (flamenco night), Antonio’s and Max Beach where the staff are friendly, efficient and the food delicious. There are two supermarkets within walking distance which are well stocked, although OpenCor is pricey. Delicious fresh bread and pastries are available there, which we bought each morning for breakfast. The apartment is extremely well situated to tour the Costa del Sol and there are many wonderful places to visit. Mijas Pueblo is a must - a typical Spanish village in the mountains. A visit to the tourist office there will equip you with a map with all of the places of interest to see in the village and there is a wonderful shrine, spectacular views and many restaurants serving a range of food. Marbella and Puerto Banus are also nice places to visit and the Plaza de Los Naranjos (Orange Square) in Marbella is an ideal place to have a coffee and watch the world go by. I can also recommend in Marbella La Pesquera (paella) and El Estrecho (tapas). Gibraltar is also worth a visit and is about an hour away. There are also countless beaches and a nearby waterpark a short drive away. On our first visit we arrived late at night and in the dark but the directions were very accurate and we found the apartment block with little bother. We will definitely be back again next year. Highly recommended!!
