Holiday villa for rent in Calahonda

Calahonda Beach is a small, privately-owned development of 63 apartments, set in large tropical gardens. It has its own swimming pool, overlooking the beach.

No. 9, is on the front row, right on the beach. It has a small, private patio with table and chairs, that opens out onto the main terrace, perfect for sunbathing. The beach is quiet and peaceful, with stunning views. (Including the Rock of Gibraltar on a clear day and even pods of dolphins have been seen)

The house sleeps four people. Downstairs is open-plan with a fully-fitted kitchen (with fridge-freezer, cooker and dishwasher), diner and lounge. (TV with FreeSat) The furniture is white cane with bright upholstery.

Upstairs, the front bedroom is a double and overlooks the beach - sit in bed and watch the sunrise and sunset and hear the sea! The twin at the rear overlooks the garden. All linen and towels are provided, except beach towels.

Calahonda Beach is set away from the main road in a quiet area. Just a short walk away there is an excellent supermarket and they will deliver free of charge. There are other small shops, banks and an internet café. The area is awash with excellent restaurants, so you don’t need to venture very far if you prefer to stay close to home – Calahonda has it all!

If you feel like exploring, the mountains are minutes away and Marbella or Fuengirola in the other direction, are just 10 minutes drive away. There is a regular bus service to both resorts that runs every 20 minutes. Puerto Banus is 20 minutes by car. Calahonda is also a wonderful base for exploring the delights of the Andalucian mountains, the olive groves and the fantastic cosmopolitan city of Granada, where you can visit the famous Moorish Alhambra Palace. The cities of Seville and Cordoba are also worth visiting and are approximately 3 hours away. The mountain city of Ronda makes for a lovely, scenic day out and Gibraltar is only an hour away for tax free shopping and sightseeing. If your passion is golf you are in the centre of what has been dubbed the Costa del Golf !!

All in all, Calahonda is an excellent place for a memorable holiday; relaxing and quiet, but within easy reach of many well-known places of interest. We certainly enjoy visiting as often as we can!
