AN AUTHENTIC AND RUSTIC COUNTRY HOUSE
A delightful, reformed country house boasting original and authentic rustic features. The house is comfortably furnished and will give you the feeling of being in a family home. The property is part of a dispersed hamlet that is within a convenient walking distance of Frigiliana on a flat and surfaced country lane.
The house comprises two double bedrooms and two bathrooms. The ensuite master bedroom is very spacious and has a fantastic four-poster queen size bed, armoire and dressing table. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower stall. The second bedroom has two twin beds that have been specially designed so that they can be joined together. There is also a very large fitted wardrobe and a writing desk and chair. This bedroom has two doors leading out onto a secluded and spacious terrace that catches the morning sun and has mountain views.
A well presented dining room and comfortable sitting room are furnished with an interesting mix of antique and modern and full of interesting pictures.
The kitchen is ergonomic and very well equipped. Among the other items already listed are electric oven, range hood, hand-held food mixer, electric juicer, French press, serving dishes, tea set, crockery, BBQ implements and other accoutrements. There is also a large larder with washing machine and lots of storage space.
OUTSIDE FEATURES
The exterior is nicely furnished for comfortable outdoor dining and lounging. The villa enjoys uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside down the valley through the avocado and mango plantations to the sea in the distance.
From the sitting room, one has a view of the pool and outside terrace - good for keeping an eye on young children. As an added feature, the pool ladder can be removed for additional safety when the swimming pool is not in use. Pool depth is 1.2m. Guests are welcome to pick the limes, grapefruit, lemons, oranges, bananas or guava, as well as fresh herbs from the herb garden.
The garden is landscaped with flowering plants, shrubs and fruit trees. The property is fully fenced and gated. The large parking area is well lit at night and there is sufficient parking space in the driveway for up to two cars, with additional parking at the front of the house.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES
The accommodation is all on one level. Doors and windows are double glazed and hermetically sealed. Ceiling fans in all rooms. Duvets are provided for winter rentals. Heating is supplied by a powerful pellet stove which heats the entire house. Pellets are included for winter rentals of one week or less. For longer rentals, pellets are provided at cost. For rentals of two weeks, extra sheets and towels are provided.
There is Freeview/Satellite TV, pay-as-you-go internet, CD player with CDs, mini-library with guide books and a topographic map and guides of the area for walkers.
RENTAL CONDITIONS
Short - medium term winter rentals (6 weeks - 4 months) available, however, special rates and terms are applied. Please enquire.
Pets are welcome (no cats please), but please enquire first before finalising your booking.
Smoking permitted, but please, only outside.
For late night arrivals, I also offer a grocery shopping service to tide you over till the next shopping day.
