The sizeable garden slopes gently down to a large 8km beach, fairly empty for most of the year. The garden itself is of a "controlled wilderness" type; juniper bushes (a protected species) break the rhythm of the large lawn, and several palm trees will whisper to us from on high with their slender trunks swaying gracefully in the wind. Atlantic Spain? Atlantic Caribbean? It could be either, really. Waves break rhythmically on the sand below, the breeze almost always warm or hot, and what could certainly be said to be heaven. As we walk through the front door, we are already confronted with the sea view and the spacious open plan living room. It is a single storey building, like all beachfront properties in this area, so the ceilings are high, creating a pleasant airy ambience throughout. Carefully selected antiques combine with wicker sofas and sisal rugs to provide a simple but classic décor. Large glass doors open onto a covered terrace that runs the width of the building, the open-air dining area at one end and comfortable seating at the other.
