Best beaches in Marbella - Playa de Nueva Andalucia

Playa de Nueva Andalucia or Nueva Andalucia beach is situated just west of Puerto Banus. The beach is also known as El Duque.

One of the area's more beautiful beaches, it is classified as having 'high occupancy,' reflecting its popularity.

Playa de Nueva Andalucia, Marbella

The beach runs from Puerto Banus's exclusive Marina westwards and is just over 1,000m long with an average width of 30m. 

The beach area is made up of a series of small coves. 

The sand is dark, coarse and typically Mediterranean.

The maritime walkway offers a nice walk from Puerto Banus to Nueva Andalucia. The walk is interspersed with palm trees and there are plenty of places to stop for a bite to eat or a refreshing drink.

Amenities

Playa de Nueva Andalucia is a popular urban beach and offers all amenities. There are numerous bars, restaurants and chiringuitos along the beach. 

Sunbeds, parasols and all watersports are catered for. Holiday water-sports is the place to stop for your sporting activities. Offering everything from para-sailing to the new body-wake equipment.

There are several public parking lots. Finding your own space can be difficult in the height of summer.

One recommended restaurant is Los Espigones. Situated right on the beach you couldn't hope for a more ideal location. The food is fantastic and very reasonably priced; a salad is around 8€, Paella 13€, meat and fish dishes are around 14€ per serving. Great value for money.

Playa de Nueva Andalucia is situated approximately 9kms from the centre of Marbella - map

Playa de Nueva Andalucia Marbella mapFrom Marbella - probably the easiest route is to follow the coastal N340 westwards towards Puerto Banus/Estepona/Algeciras. Calle de Ricardo Soriano eventually becomes the Bulevar del Príncipe Alfonso von Hohenlohe. Keep going eventually dropping onto the A7 direction Algeciras. Take the next exit for Puerto Banus/Nueva Andalucia and make your way to the beach. Park where you can. 

From Malaga - AP-7 towards Algerciras, go past Marbella and take the exit 181A merging onto the A-7 direction Algeciras - Follow instructions above.
